Limericks For Our Times.

War came to our world one day
so Bush and friends, could play
So they created an enemy
then we followed them blindly
like an afternoon game of croquet

Oh how they love to play war
they threaten and storm, while we snore.
When no one is looking
that’s when they start cooking
A stew of deceit and rancor

A president came out of Texas
and gave us a rather strange nexus
we should be at war,
on a far foreign shore
then make all the rich rather taxless.

We once had a VP named Dick
who’s view of the world was eccentric
He loves to fights wars
then cheats on the scores
Like a person who lives without logic

There once was a political hack
Whose mind was clouded by Jack Black
The drunk may be dry, but he made our troops die
We should tell him, to Texas, GO BACK.
