Show how little you know of the world outside your house. For decades conservatives were in the democratic party, but by no means liberals. Thanks to sore feelings over the Civil War Southerners refused to be part of the party of Lincoln. Hell, not until 2000 did many local politicians even consider running as a Republican. But to address her non christian ways, she turned to GAWD years before switching parties. After 3 marriages with a string of children, some from the future next guy while still married to the next Ex-guy. Sort of like the other southern conservatives like Newt Gringrich.... :roll:
Now her stand was illegal and against the oath she took to hold that office (won many say was inherited from her mother) She holds a government secular job paid by all taxpayer money. Her religion has ZERO place in interpreting her duties as a government official. But those who insist Jesus was wrong when he said, Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's and unto God what is God's. Many Jews pointed to Caesar proclaiming himself divine but Jesus cast that aside. Some pointed to Caesar being on coinage- was that Idolatry to use his likeness in business? Jesus was easy enough to understand. Of course these days we have the poppycock christians who have to show they are the most christian of the christians (covering the guilt of a very sinful past) and refuse the teachings of Christ.
A truly honorable civil servant who can't recall the verse I posted but feels they can't render unto Caesar what is their official duty should resign and not take the coin. But she thinks the position is hers as an inheritance and not subject to petty 'outside' laws.
So park the high horse, it's not slander when it's facts.... :2wave:
But for all the backing she claimed to have during the trail and jail time the county decided they needed a court clerk who obeys the laws no matter personal feelings- in other words a true professional and not momma's little girl playing clerk after a few decades of amazing debauchery...
There was nothing righteous about a recent convert imposing their take on religion on the taxpayers of her county. Praise be unto the Lord for the citizens seeing the true light and turning her out so she can practice her interpretation of the teachings of Christ in the private world...
