We had civil unions gaining gound all over America.Toleration and understanding of homosexuality spreading . Than the liberal ideologues decided that all this wasn't happening fast enough.
Massachusetts liberal judges decided to shove homsexuality down the throats of the people of Massachusetts and the nation.The knee jerk liberal mayor of San Francisco decided he was going to start marrying Gays without any legal authority to do so. O
n TV night after night thats what he did than two copycats in NY tried it.
This Galvanized christians to start pettition drives in several states to stop gay marrige. By the time the Presidential Election came 11 states had referendums on Gay marriage. Four million more christians had registered to vote. Vote they did for President Bush ! Gays lost in all the Referendums.Now we are a year later and .In the middle of the confirmation hearing for a new Chief Justice.With the conservative nominee being questioned .A liberal federal Judge decides to declare Under God in the Pledge of Allegiance,unconstitutional. Another liberal gift to President Bush !

Actually polls have indicated that support for civil unions is higher now than it has ever been.

Moreover, those liberal judges were not liberal, they were appointed primarily by Republicans. Any, and I mean any, law professor in America will tell you that we have a conservative judiciary from the circuit courts up.
