If you type in the words "O'Reilly" and "shut up" into Lexis Nexis and run a search of all Fox News Trascripts in existence, over 200 entries show up. If you sift through them, there are 5 cases where he actually told someone to shut up.

Yet, to hear the Left tell it, this is his trademark. They dishonestly smear this guy CONSTANTLY. And the little sheep come on here DAILY to start new threads perpetuating the BS.

My favorite was the one where he said Mexico's unemployment rate was 20%, and he meant to say the POVERTY RATE was 20%. Liberals crucified him, ommitting that part about the poverty rate to make it look like he just fabricates things.

HINT for you honesty-challenged lefties: You only have to pathologically lie about your opponents if you know you can't win the debate on merit.

The media, of course, runs with the lies like every other liberal robot:

CNN:

"Mr. Dobbs's weave of sanctimony and indignation flattens guests with opposing viewpoints -- he hasn't ventured to adopt Bill O'Reilly's trademark ''shut up'' yet."

Chicago Sun Times:

"Or, as you so eloquently put it to guests on your show who get the better of you, shut up."

NPR:

"...analyzes O'Reilly's creative use of the command "shut up" on his TV show..."

I have never heard him say that, and I have watched the show religiously, go figure?

The O'Reilly Factor has existed for around 10 years...that's around 2600 shows. On 5 shows, he told people who were frivolously interrupting him to hurl off-topic insults to "shut up."

That's less than 1% of the time. Yet liberals claim this is his "trademark."

And the media mindlessly repeats this and a mountain of other lies about him...because they are run by liberals.

so will Billo Really have an stroke or a heart attack when he reads this post?

get ready for the many links to the left wing attack sites 'citing' lies of O'Reilly, and how only the stupidest on the right can like him

i have heard him say it, and usually it was long over due to silence a babbling filibustering spin doctor saying everything under the sun except addressing the topic at hand
I have also seen him cut a mic, long overdue
more news people need to have his gonads to keeps talking head spinners in check

just like joe friday " just the facts ma'am"

My issue with Bill O is he keeps trying to compromise our judicial system by trying people in the media and acting like he is judge and jury. Then he makes statements trying to influence how courts should rule on a particular issue. He uses his show as a bully-pulpit to influence judicial review.

Another issue is how he keeps interuppting his guests. He allows people, that share his political views, un-interrupted time to make their point. But if you don't share his view, I guarantee he will interrupt you before you have finished your thought. I wish just once someone would tell him after being interrupted, "You wanna shut the f.uck up until I finish my statement?" I know I would.

He's just a little White House bitch!

But not as bad as Hannity....

Or those Beltway bitches....

Has anyone noticed we have a "billo riley" in the forum now?

LOL I have watched Bill O'Reilly maybe 5 times and every time I watched him, he was rude to someone who was *shocking* on the left. He is an a$$wipe, and I actually feel kinda sorry for him. One, he's butt ugly. Two, he was caught talking dirty to one of his co-workers. Thus, he has no morals. Three, he's butt ugly. If he were the last man on earth, I would be single, as I hear he is kinda rough with a loofah sponge.

This is the joy of debating with liberals.

I just proved that liberals in the media and in general lie about this man, and you respond by pointing out that:

1) he's ugly.

2) he's mean.

3) he talked dirty to someone (which turned out to be bogus, but the fact that never stops the left is kind of the point here)-as if that were as bad as being accused of rape by several card-carrying Democrats (Clinton), using the oval office to repeatedly ejaculate on a fat jew (Clinton), lying under oath about it (Clinton), being a serial sexual assaulter (Clinton, Packwood), etc.

Where is this incredibly unreasonable standard of morality when dealing with DEMOCRATS? So being accused (falsely) of doing something mildly inappropriate is now grounds for being labeled morally compromised?

(:rofl sorry, that's just such a freaking joke talking to any Democrat who defends Clinton about morally judging ANYONE for sexual misconduct)

You have completely discredited yourself.

What total BS. You can use Lexis Nexis to prove anything you want. It's also seedy of you to use a tool that most of us don't have access to.

Watch this video for proof of your latest deception du jour. I counted 10 Shut Ups in one little clip. :2wave:

http://politicalhumor.about.com/gi/...=politicalhumor&zu=http://www.moveon.org/fox/

One of O'Reilly's trademarks is bullying people that don't agree with him. Any fool could see that.

Here's a little Nexis Leixs search my good friends at http://www.sweetjesusihatebilloreilly.com/ did on far right and far left.

We decided to add a little of our own research and did a Lexis-Nexis search of O'Reilly
transcripts. Here's the list of people and organizations Bill considers “far-right”:

Nazis American militia groups
Rush Limbaugh Former KKK Grand Wizard David Duke
Michael Savage G. Gordon Liddy
Ayn Rand Institute Jerry Falwell
Ann Coulter Pat Buchanan
Pat Robertson Dan Quayle

It should be noted that Ann Coulter has been one of Bill’s favorite guests and that The
Factor once referred to her in a tagline as “No Spin Ann." O'Reilly has also said that Ann
is "as far right as she is funny" and "entertaining." Also, Michael Savage and G. Gordon
Liddy became enemies of The Factor only after they said O'Reilly's ratings were
slipping. We also find it odd that poor Dan Quayle is lumped in with Nazis.

The “far-left” list is a little longer:

Jodie Foster
Meg Ryan
Drew Barrymore
Danny DeVito
The Osbornes
Ellen Degeneres
Matthew Perry
Billy Crystal
Sharon Stone
Bill Maher
Susan Sarandon
Russ Feingold
Chuck Schumer
Barbara Boxer
Slate Magazine
Pinch Sulzberger
Ned Lamont
Cindy Sheehan
Ted Kennedy
Bruce Springsteen
Bill Moyers
Harry Belafonte

NY Times
Atlanta Journal Constitution
Paul Krugman

You know who's f cking up this country? Meg Ryan. And you know who's ignoring it?
The far-left media. Those bastards.

To be honest, we conducted an exhaustive search for far-right references, but when it came
to far-left, well, we realized that our health insurance didn't cover carpal tunnel syndrome.
So if you readjust your political compass using the folks on Bill’s “far-right” list and the
mustache-twisting fiends on his “far-left” list, you arrive roughly at Benito Mussolini as the
exemplar of the moderate Democrat.

Gee, if Bill gets any more fair and balanced, he’ll rip a hole in spacetime.

Um..ok. Lexis Nexis has every single O'Reilly transcript since the show's inception.

I used the words, "O'reilly" and "shut up."

In what way could this possibly be misleading?

BS? This smokescreen argument you just threw up is what's total BS.

Sorry. Should I use drastically inferior tools like Google just so that every liberal here who doesn't go to college (any college should have full student access to Lexis Nexis) won't have to explain away compelling evidence?

I thought liberals were the ones always claiming to be more educated (which Southern Democrat unintentionally disproved ). None of you go to college?

And since that's not what's being alleged here, this is irrelevant.

1) And?

2) :rofl This is why people who don't watch certain shows shouldn't criticize them based on nothing but hysterical liberal websites (not that it wasn't already ABUNDANTLY clear that you unquestioningly accept and regurgitate provably bogus rhetoric from liberal fanatics on here).

Bill O'Reilly has huge problems with Ann Coulter. He distances himself from her all the time. I guess you missed that last poll he ran asking if Ann's "personal attacks hurt the right more than they help."

And O'Reilly actually started hating Savage when he started calling him nasty names on the air. What is this, like 4 strikes for you in a row now?

Another dumb point. The far Left has more household name celebrities. That is why the list is longer.

And who is alleging that celebrities are screwing up this country? Democrats can't win an election to save their lives anymore and it is partly BECAUSE these high school dropout-actors can't stop spewing idiotic hysteria.

O'Reilly isn't accusing them of screwing up the country. They are revealing how absurd the Left is though, and people like O'Reilly have a right and a responsibility to set the record straight against these lunatics.

This is the part where you destroy your own credibility. This is so comically stupid, I am going to have to ask what kind of ridiculous search methods were used.

The people O'Reilly lists as far Left are demonstrably on the fringes. Middle America rarely agrees with them and polls have consistently reinforced that.

You have done more here to prove how full of crap the left is on O'Reilly than the original Lexis Nexis search that started this thread.

You want "idiotic hysteria"? I'll give you idiotic hysteria!

This is a threat to world peace that we must sacrifice
the lives of 52,500 people in order to fight:

Yep, the point you just made IS idiotic hysteria. Your logic here is that if you show pictures of poverty in Iraq (I'm guessing), then that somehow means we shouldn't have done anything about this genocidal terror-sponsor who was linked with Al Queda, after 15 years of failed diplomacy and 9/11?

Idiotic IS the only word that fits this line of "thought."

Anyone wants to remind me why we should talk about OReilly in this forum? I mean, shouldn't bias opinions be the best response towards a biased individual? I assume we've a 'bias in the media' forum because it's a wrong thing to do? If it's the right thing to do I don't see the point of discussing that.

First of all, there was no operational link. Hussein and UBL were enemies. They wanted to kill each other. If by chance they did hook up, it would be the first time in history that a secular leader joined forces with an Islamic Fundamentalist. Secondly, Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. Didn't you read the Commission's report. Thirdly, cutting a check to the surviving members of a suicide bomber does not constitute terror support. And fourthly, we knew all about Hussein 20 years ago when he was our ally and we did nothing then. He didn't change. We knew how evil he was when we were selling him the gas that he used on the Iranians during their border war.

And lastly, the only reason diplomacy failed is because we attacked. And it wasn't to liberate the Iraqi people. We don't give a damn about the Iraqi people. We are there to exploit their resources.

1) Correct.

2) Yes, Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11, but the 9/11 Commission report thoroughly documents the relationship between Saddam and Al Queda.

3) I started a thread a while back to demonstrate how full of crap you are to say this. Results are in-you are on the utter fringe in thinking this doesn't constitute terror-sponsoring...because it IS terror-sponsoring.

Additionally, many poor arabs have found this to be the ONLY way to get their families taken care of, so Saddam's rewards for the families of suicide bombers DID create more terrorism.

4) He hadn't used WMD to commit genocide, hadn't attempted to assassinate one of our presidents, hadn't been through 15 years of failed diplomacy, etc.

5) Some people think 15 years of expelled weapons inspectors, defiance, and failed diplomacy was sufficient to indicate that diplomacy wouldn't solve this one.

6) Speak for yourself. Bringing democracy to the Middle East is the only way to end Islam's bloody psychosis. I care a great deal.

7) Based on? Your bitter, self-righteous hysteria? Gas prices have gone up since the war. If we were just stealing their oil, supply would be going up, prices would be going down. This is a basic economic concept.

Let me guess, that's a conspiracy too, right? yawn.

You can derail as many threads as you want repeating this easily debunked crap on Iraq. But repeating crap doesn't magically make it become true.
