My question is-------why are they there. Why dont they stay in their own country and improve conditions there. You say because the government has all the power and all the guns. This a perfect example why we need the second Amendment. It protects the people from the dictates of a huge government. The fools that would have us turn in our guns and make slaves out of us only need to look as several of the socialist countries in South America. We only also have to look at the history of the 20th century. Citizens without guns were murdered by big communist governments to the tune of 100,000,000 people.

If the people in South America had guns, they would not be on our border about to be criminal invaders. Huge powerful is and always has been the problem. Yet we have that radical left that has taken over the democrat party trying their hardest to put this country in the position of the South American countries that people are fleeing from. I, too, believe in strict immigration laws. But (1) people are going to come here, laws or no (2) Many Americans benefit from this mass immigration.

Immigrants come here for a chance at a better life that is not available to them in their home country. They are not “invaders” or terrorists like DA Trump says.

We do need to protect our borders, absolutely, but coming at the issue by demonizing the immigrants and spreading fake fear isn’t going to make anything better. More technology, hard barriers where appropriate, and more BP agents is what’s needed.

Not sure if this is sarcasm, but Americans shouldn't be the ones leaving. I think Americans will stay and fight, even if that means another Civil War. Sometimes it feels like we're close.
Central Americans are fleeing here because they have that option. We need to take many things off the table, by strengthening deterrents to illegal immigration, enforcing e-verify and not allowing illegals to get free stuff courtesy America's taxpayers.
