Trump is the incumbent. Trump has ALL Republicans worshipping him. Trump has the levers of power. Trump's motto is, make America great again. That is SOOOOOOOOOOOO establishment. Trump has even threatened NOT to leave office, which is the ultimate in entrenched. I guess one might say that Trump is the most shallow human on earth, which calls into question the deep part.

Trump has billionaires throwing money at him, to carry on giving privileges to the rich.

Now lets discuss Liberals. They want change. THAT IS NOT ESTABLISHMENT.

The right wing enjoys them some fantasy, that they are mavericks, when they are simply the house servant for the rich. They whip the other nonrich into compliance. Shaming them into accepting their arranged lot in life.

I dont expect the right wing to use proper terminology, as they are using it for gaslighting. There is no truth to it.

Four years later and I still shake my head that a billionaire who routinely ****ed over the working people who he did business with or worked for him managed to convince a large number of working people that he was gonna save them.

Drain the swamp. He plays golf with the swamp. He IS the swamp.

I’ll figure out quantum physics before I figure that one out.

Nothing funnier than the new corporate/war party calling Trump the establishment.

It must be really sad to have a memory that extends back less than four years.

No he’s really not and, in some ways that good and in other ways it, frankly, isn’t.

He sits at the top of the executive branch and of a political party that's been converted into a cult of personality around him. You can't get any more establishment than that.

Exactly, retarded Trump supporters can't understand that.

Do you make this stuff up all on your own or are you picking it up from somewhere?

One day you guys are getting a tingle up your leg because of the Lincoln Project and the Mitt Romney wing of the GOP supporting Biden and the next day you're telling us that Trump has control of every Republican because he's "establishment". It would usually be funny but this kind of insanity has gone on WAY too long to be entertaining any more.

It's sad that you cannot see what is right in front of you.

While there is no doubt Trump has a personality cult, the Republican party has been won over by the results. Trump is very good at his job. No personality is involved in that simple principle. To the contrary.

After five years, how can you still be asking that question?

Admit it. I am better than 90% of professional pundits, at creating unavoidable traps of logic. I took aptitude tests, and they told me to get into communications, which Journalists are part of.

Biden needs a motto, right? How about "Hope and Change", lol.

Don't worry, if any duo can deliver real change it's an old white racist who's been in politics for over 40 years along with a corrupt cop who slept her way to the top of the political dung heap.

Here Are The Billionaires Backing Joe Biden’s Presidential Campaign, As Of September 2019

This article reflects Federal Election Commission filings as of Sept. 30, 2019. Go here to see the latest billionaire donor count.

The list includes famous names like former Hewlett-Packard CEO Meg Whitman, ex-Google CEO Eric Schmidt and arts patron Eli Broad. There are also lesser-known tycoons like casino and real estate scion Neil Bluhm and Marcus & Millichap founder George Marcus, who have hosted $1,000-a-head fundraisers for the former vice president, according to pool reports. Marcus described Biden as “probably the most sterling individual that we could imagine would occupy the office of the White House.” Altogether, Forbes found 26 billionaires and 18 billionaire spouses who have contributed to the campaign.

Eighteen got rich in finance and investments—six in hedge funds, five in private equity. Seven owe their fortunes to real estate and five to the tech sector. Nearly all the billionaires are self-made businesspeople rather than lucky heirs.

Unsure of your real intentions with this OP, but Trump is anything but establishment.

All Trump did was hijack a party that discarded their identity a long way back because of existing establishment, just about everyone that has written about Trump has illustrated what it is like dealing with this child in orange wrapping.

Enablers and supporters of Trump have driven home that point, and in some regards have allowed Trump to take the party in a direction no one really envisioned.

Constitutionality, social conservatism, fiscal conservatism, family values, strong allies for world presence, whatever else... discarded for absolute lunacy.

trump has record high Republican support, but not all Republicans support him. trump serves the establishment, but he is not what's meant by the phrase. The very wealthy, and large corporations and interests, are. You're right about the phony 'mavericks' and how people are manipulated to support plutocracy.

Hey, campaign finance reform is next semester.

He spent much of his first year in office trying to take away people's health insurance to make it easier for insurers to skim good risks and screw bad risks, then when he failed he moved onto his tax giveaway to the rich and corporations. Now he's trying to defund Social Security.

He's as establishment GOP as it gets, just even more overt than usual about the racism and xenophobia.

Well if you want to get all technical.

At least the Biden Harris corruption is legal. It ain't a rosy picture for damn sure, but being corrupt within the law would be progress, no?

Is there anything less helpful than blaming a person for a natural disaster?

No and not legal. There is already a guilty plea on a felony count. Biden is tied up in that

The federal response has been a disaster but there's nothing natural about Trump's incompetence. His "results" (a lot of dead Americans and a collapsed economy) are clear, and they're going to be hung around his neck all the way to November.

The Federal response has been pretty good. The ban on flights from China was timely. The organization of the task force was a good move and putting the VP in charge gave it clout. Production of masks, respirators and other consumable medical supplies were assisted. Another example is the vaccine which is expected before year end, instead of two to five years from now.

State and local response is a mixed bag. Cuomo's order in March was a major blow, but that was done at the state level. Even with it, USA has done better than western Europe on a per capita basis. Florida did better. South Dakota never did shut down, but they were not overwhelmed.

You need to leave your assumptions at the door and check the facts.

You dont have to go thru all them gymnastics. They are streamlining all that. Now they say, hey, you were going to lose two million. We are well ahead of the curve.
