At one time we had a truth in advertising law but nobody enforced it. As a result people
have no protection from scam artists who hawk products that don't work and services that perform in magazines and on TV.

But the biggest offenders are drug companies who guarantee nothing for your money and leave you with no recourse. People need assurance that the medicine will work, not lists of possible dangers and ask your doctor.
