The shutdown is not simply about an unpopular law, but rather its consequences to the future of this nation_first of all you are not suppose to let the gov not be able to pay its bills because of a law you do not like ...
The consequences of Obamacare will not be realized for several years and even then be under-reported by main stream media_also if this law is so bad let it run and fail until the 2014 elections.. if obamacare is so bad repubs,, let it work for you.....only confederates, tea party and people that want to break away from this country would shut down this government.. we know who you are....
Totally inconsequential to the subject of this discussion__Stick to the issue!oh hhh another thing ,,,,quit telling women what to do with their bodies after all you dont want anyone telling you what to do with your guns,,,,mainly who you sell them too...
excuse me boss....we are already paying for other people not having health care ...why do you think our premiums are so high
And I am not a Republican yet I'm forced to vote for them as the best hope of defeating far-left Progressive extremist_I've been saying for the last six months that if Obamacare doesn't get repealed, and if it doesn't cause a horrific recession and the disentigration of our health care system, that it will be the end of Republican hopes to keep control of the House, or to take control of the Senate or POTUS for many years to come.
THATS the reason that republicans are fighting to stop Obamacare so bad. They don't actually think that Obamacare is going to ruin anything, and they realize that the American public is going to loose faith in republicans because their "the sky is falling because of Obamacare" rhetoric. If they can stop Obamacare, then they can argue that they "saved the world from disaster", if they can't, they look like idiots.
DISCLAIMER: I do not and never will be an Obamacare supporter and I have not voted for Obama, or any democrat in the past 20 years. I'm just calling 'em the way I see 'em.

Obama has already stated that he intends to fundamentally change the United States
“We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America.”Can you please cite the source of where Obama stated "I intend to fundamentally change the United States?"
Obama is basically describing his vision of the perfect Socialist Utopian DreamCan you please cite the source of where Obama stated "I intend to fundamentally change the United States?"
If Obamacare succeeds and people are happy with it, Republicans will begin calling it The Affordable Care Act.
The key word is "fundamentally"_ fundamental - WiktionaryCan you please cite the source of where Obama stated "I intend to fundamentally change the United States?"
Obamacare is so badly broken it would take decades to fix, especially considering the political gridlock of the DemoPublicans_I would be very happy to see it do what it advertised, improve healthcare, reduce costs. I just don't see it working out to well.
