Let’s Dance is my favorite Davie Bowie song. When I first heard it, I envisioned an elegantly dressed couple dancing in an Art Deco-style ballroom, a far cry from the music video of oppressed Latino workers in the U.S.

My original vision of the song came closer to reality in a fourth season episode of The Crown, in which Princess Margaret and her date, dressed to the nines after a night on the town, playfully dance to the tune in her living room.

Mine is “Space Oddity,” which I always confuse with Eric Burdon’s “Sky Pilot.”
