Left-Wing Radicals and the 2010 Conservative Growth Spurt
By Kyle-Anne Shiver

...Gallup's report on its 2010 likely voter profile... the most delicious tidbit within the complicated demographic profile was that an astonishing 54% of all likely voters self-identify as conservative.

...So, with all this ubiquitous bashing of conservative Americans as racists, homophobes, Islamophobes, xenophobes, Bible-thumpers, woman-haters -- oh, for crying out loud! This list could go on to lingual infinity. The end result -- 54% of likely voters willing to come out proudly as the dreaded, societally despised conservatives -- is enough to cause an epic collective dash for the barf bags among the entire elitist, liberal army of professional agitators.

So here's what really happened to the American electorate, and over the past two years, especially.

The vast majority of genuine Americans have -- for the past two years -- gotten a real, up-close-and-personal look at the other side of the radical coin.

Socialist radicals -- Obama, Pelosi, and Reid -- have led the entire country through the economic ditch and into a raging river, headed straight for a Niagara-scale waterfall that ends with an inevitable crash into bankruptcy and utter ruin. Propping up one liberal dream scheme after another...

...Apparently, it was never enough for Americans to glimpse the rotten economies of their sister-states across the big pond in western Europe. They had to see Democratic socialism wreak havoc here on our own shores to really understand our own left-wing radicals.

The other part of this story is the utter disregard for the U.S. Constitution, for which this leftist-radical administration and Congress have become well-known.

When a brave citizen in California had the temerity to ask Rep. Pete Stark how he could justify -- within a Constitutional framework -- passage of the ObamaCare mandate, this off-the-rails left-wing radical told her plainly that "the federal government can do most anything in this country." Americans saw that tyranny-packed statement coming from the mouth of a leftist radical congressman and woke up...

The people came. The people saw.

And the left-wing radicals scared the woolies out of them.

The moral of this story is as plain as the ears on President Obama's head.
That 54% really must confound the left, as R's merely need to field a conservative to sweep in 2012; for I do not believe Obama will moderate, and even if he tried, people won't easily forget the first two years.

The damage is done. Clinton began his repairs directly after the 94 midterms, by running stealth ads in southern markets. That bunny wabbit won't work again, and neither will the Hope, Change and blah, blah... blah wabbit. The Foley wabbit has left the station... "culture of corruption" wabbit has been shot long ago... seems the Dems are wunn'in outa wabbits.

Conservative Growth Spurt?

:rofl

The dems (Obama included) done gone and ****ed up, promised they could magically fix the economy, and they couldn't.

Now all of a sudden the Republicans (with a tiny bull**** booklet) are claiming they can do the same thing.

Anyone have any TEA? Oh yeah they'll be gone once the (R)'s are in power and **** everything up AGAIN.

Take back our country guys. HEEEEEEEEEEEEEE HAWWWWWWWWWWWWW

American Thinker: Left-Wing Radicals and the 2010 Conservative Growth Spurt

Last week, the big news out of polling country was Gallup's report on its 2010 likely voter profile. And the most delicious tidbit within the complicated demographic profile was that an astonishing 54% of all likely voters self-identify as conservative.

That doesn't mean anything considering that the definition of Conservative is never defined in such polls. For instance, we have Navy Pride who says he's Conservative yet defended Bush's actual socialist drug plan and his massive expansion of government. Representative Vitter thinks he's conservative and then fights tooth and nail against cuts to government and replacing them with free market proposals. Self proclaimed Conservatism is about as telling as self proclaimed Poliwogism. Without defining the term, the term means nothing.

Sliming those who still believe in the U.S. Constitution and Declaration of Independence -- i.e., conservatives

And who would that be? The Republicans who did not stop or even question Bush's illegal wiretapping? Or the massive expansion of unconstitutional spending? My my peoples' memories are exceedingly short. The party to see the most growth in November will be lead by two Politicians who do not believe in COTUS or the DOI.
What does that say?

Socialist radicals -- Obama, Pelosi, and Reid

And what exactly have they done that was socialist? The Healthcare bill is going to be taken primarily up by private insurers (not to mention it's just a rehashed Republican idea). TARP did not change management for the most part. The bailed out auto companies are run by new CEOs not picked by the government.

That's part of the conservative growth-spurt story: seeing is believing. Apparently, it was never enough for Americans to glimpse the rotten economies of their sister-states across the big pond in western Europe. They had to see Democratic socialism wreak havoc here on our own shores to really understand our own left-wing radicals.

Like Germany's manufacturing exports? Furthermore, the most rotten economy is Iceland. Who engaged in even worse financial shenanigans then we did.

Mr. Shiver needs a history lesson. Not to mention some basic definitional work.

I don't know if I agree with that, because Pelosi and Reid will rally the troops and keep the dems in the power. After all they are such great leaders and visionaries like Obama...

Exactly!!! Everybody has in their head a different definition. The same is true when surveys ask if the media is liberal; are you pro-life or pro-choice?

LOL... from Mr. Proper...

Conservatives aren't Conservatives Dept.
Of course it doesn't mean anything. :doh Democrats running from Obama and Pelosi now sell themselves as Conservatives, but the general public, like those here on DP don't have much confusion of who they are and what they support. But the great masses are much different from DP!? :doh Not.

Can't Have it Both Ways Dept.

Even better is you... with one itty bitty sentence nuked the argument fomented by many leftists here... that we're one homogeneous mass. So which is it?

And who would that be? The Republicans who did not stop or even question Bush's illegal wiretapping? Or the massive expansion of unconstitutional spending? My my peoples' memories are exceedingly short. The party to see the most growth in November will be lead by two Politicians who do not believe in COTUS or the DOI.
Wiretapping case was running through the courts.

It was the last active case pending before a trial judge challenging the wiretapping program that ended in 2007.
Many conservatives here were against the spending... so yes, your memory is short... even shorter considering the Tea Party, and republicans have begun weeding out RINO's.
Federal Judge Rules Bush Program Illegally Wiretapped Americans

"The ruling ends the case, but without the fireworks everyone expected," George Washington University law professor Orin Kerr said. "It ended with a whimper."

The ruling came after U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder said the lawsuit threatened to expose ongoing intelligence work and must be thrown out.

Eisenberg called on the Obama administration to accept Wednesday's ruling and forgo any appeals.

"We are reviewing it," Department of Justice spokeswoman Tracy Schmaler said.

And what exactly have they done that was socialist? The Healthcare bill is going to be taken primarily up by private insurers (not to mention it's just a rehashed Republican idea). TARP did not change management for the most part. The bailed out auto companies are run by new CEOs not picked by the government.
Government mandating someone buy health insurance, and penalizing them if the do not buy is Socialist. There is a case about this aspect of ObiKare before the courts at the moment.

Government is the major stockholder in GM, and government ousted the old CEO.

Would you like to try more examples?

Like Germany's manufacturing exports? Furthermore, the most rotten economy is Iceland. Who engaged in even worse financial shenanigans then we did.
Germany is a socialist hell hole. They may do well in the export dept., but you're never going to confuse it for Hong Kong. It's a country losing skilled, is overtaxed, over regulated, its heathcare system is in shambles.

Iceland isn't a country, it's an oversized village that screwed up.

Our problem is largely thanks to Government forcing banks to make loans to people with a high risk of defaulting. Not to mention socialist "entitlement" programs... where people have come to believe they are entitled to other people's labor.

Tell me, The Pelosi, Reid, Obama Tri-fecta has generated such a stir in the nation because they embrace and follow The Constitution closely? Or is it because Obama didn't get the message out? Or is it because the Three Stooges have overreached with their socialist schemes?

Uh yeah. If you are going to quote a story, link it. Seriously, common courtesy...which you have none of.

Conservatives aren't Conservatives Dept. Of course it doesn't mean anything.

So why bother even citing it? When you have someone who defended Bush's actual socialist drug bill calling themselves Conservative, that term means nothing.

Even better is you... with one itty bitty sentence nuked the argument fomented by many leftists here... that we're one homogeneous mass. So which is it?

Can someone translate this in coherent English? I don't speak nutjob.

Wiretapping case was running through the courts.

Except that it wasn't. Ashcroft even refused to sign off given the massive illegality of it all. Heard of a thing called a "warrant?"

It was the last active case pending before a trial judge challenging the wiretapping program that ended in 2007.

Meaning what? No trial does not equate to no law broken.

Government mandating someone buy health insurance, and penalizing them if the do not buy is Socialist.

Is the government providing the health care? No. Zimmer Fail.
Are the doctors directed and paided by the government? No. Zimmer Fail.
Are the hospitals owned by the government? No. Zimmer Fail.

It would be Socialist..if it was like Veteran's health care. That's actually socialist by all definitions. I see you never have argued for cutting that. Zimmer Fail.

Government is the major stockholder in GM, and government ousted the old CEO.

And does the government tell GM how to run its line speeds? No. Zimmer Fail.
Does the government have oversight as to which models are made? No. Zimmer Fail.

The past majority of the ownership period, the government has been a passive shareholder.

Would you like to try more examples?

Sure. I love seeing you fail. You do it with flare

Germany is a socialist hell hole.

With budget surpluses. Germany is more fiscally conservative then we are.

They may do well in the export dept., but you're never going to confuse it for Hong Kong.

Uh, for obvious reasons. But Hong Kong itself has problems.

It's a country losing skilled, is overtaxed, over regulated, its heathcare system is in shambles.

In your opinion. Which doesn't count for much.

Iceland isn't a country, it's an oversized village that screwed up.

Which refutes my point in what way? Oh wait. It doesn't. You have no actual argument.

Our problem is largely thanks to Government forcing banks to make loans to people with a high risk of defaulting.

More Zimmer fail. CRA loans have been profitable for 30 years. Furthermore, the majority of bad loans were from non-CRA institutions not covered by the government. Zimmer Fail. Not to mention that the real problem was not in mortgages but the Wall Street securitization of them and the purchasing of such securities with debt along with the overuse of commercial paper by large financial institutions. But I doubt you have any idea what anything I said means.

Tell me, The Pelosi, Reid, Obama Tri-fecta has generated such a stir in the nation because they embrace and follow The Constitution closely? Or is it because Obama didn't get the message out? Or is it because the Three Stooges have overreached with their socialist schemes?

The big problem is that this is a leverage recession. Every single person I ask to explain why that is different runs like a coward. You included. That said, Obama has epically fail to get the message out.

You've never seen a left-wing radical.
