Is there any way to divide our profile "lean" to two options? Having separate options for fiscal and social leans would be nice.

Just throwing that out there.

I guess this isn't a popular option?... I was just saying that because my overall lean may be Slightly Liberal, my fiscal and social views are far apart on the political spectrum and their sum is roughly liberal. So I'd just like to able to differentiate.

I don't think that would be useful to me personally; I prefer to let my sociopolitical opinions speak for themselves, rather than adopting some label to describe my mindset or worldview.
I am inclined to agree with Alan Watts, who once said that trying to define yourself is like trying to bite your own teeth.

Perhaps if the "lean" under your avatar does not sufficiently describe your position, you could expand upon it with some sort of signature line which further describes your beliefs?

My signature is very important to me the way that it is for obvious reasons. I have had to shorten it numerous times for it to fit inside the DP parameters, so that is a no-go.

As far as not using a label for description, I find this well-meaning in theory but the truth is that these labels are quite helpful in describing members and getting good information out of a quick glance. Occasionally posts can be interpreted multiple ways (especially those of sarcastic nature) and the lean can be helpful in these cases, while certainly not foolproof. Adding more options for the user, for deeper clarification, would be nice. And if you choose, you still wouldn't have to use them.
