There isn't any information regarding WHY the shooting occurred or who did the shooting in at least the first 20 min of this video but it does show the CHOPpers dealing with the trauma of something that went wrong in paradise and then the additional (perhaps worse) trauma of cops entering the occupied territory.

What I didn't see was anybody claiming that white supremacists or cops actually fired the shots. I also see that no matter how bad things get in CHOP the "peaceful protesters" are still perfectly willing to attack cops and totally refuse to allow cop assistance even if it would be a good idea. Cops, obviously, are treated like the enemy under ALL circumstances.

I don't think anyone should be happy about people being shot and killed.

That being said, I do think that the longer the CHOP exists as it does, the more it is going to be the lesson on the failures of anarchy.
 
About an hour and ten minutes in one of the speakers says it's a white guy that did the shooting but I'm still not hearing anything that indicates it was an outsider.
 
In all this video I don't see one person conducting a serious criminal investigation and I damned sure don't see any professional police in the area.

My best guess is that this will go down as another case where nobody saw anything and nothing really changes.

Earlier on in the video, in the first half hour or so, one of the guys with the cameraman says something to the effect of "This is why we're here doing this! You see how the cops took 9 minutes to respond?!" Well, at the time he was saying that there were CHOPPers trying to keep the cops out of the area and throwing stuff at a cop car. Maybe, MAYBE it's the behavior of the denizens of the peaceful, loving, woke community that makes up this event that's the real problem.

It looks to me like CHOP has a dozen or more "organizations" all staking their claim to relevance in the area and the protest infrastructure, such that it exists, and that, perhaps, one interested party took issue with another interested party.
 
The police and all other services should refuse all calls from that area. Let them police themselves, provide medical, fire safety, sanitation, etc.... its not our job to provide them any of those things.

We now have a statement from the Seattle City Councilperson that has been supporting CHOP - Kshama Sawant releases statement on shooting at the CHOP

I like this part -

Basically, "We demand that the cops fully investigate this because the cops suck and we hate the cops!"

Not that I've see. The video I saw first thing this morning didn't do any interviews or catch anything concrete. It did show that the general sense of things by the occupiers WAS NOT that some outsider came in and messed with them. The frustration I saw was all directed internally so I figure everybody knows what happened and nobody is going to talk.

Again, there is VERY little in specifics but still, there is no indication that this was the result of outside antagonists.

I have no idea why that video got pulled. There was nothing in it I saw that was disparaging of anyone or problematic in any way but, then again, I'm not a CHOPper so I don't know what they're telling their people.

No, this can metastasize rapidly, we need federal troops to attack CHOP, detain everyone in there, and subject them to extensive brainwashing and re-education for their own good so they can rejoin society as productive members

Do they want autonomy or do they want to be treated like kids with a tent in their parents backyard pretending like they are camping in the wild.

Do their mommies need to bring them snacks when they get hungry. Leave the backdoor unlocked so they can go potty and the porch loght on so they dont scared of the dark.

Here's a video of today's community meeting or whatever they call it.

I'm only 15 minutes into it but I have to say that I learned some important stuff!

Stuff #1 that I learned, black people have a particular propensity to abuse alcohol and drugs as a means of suppressing traumas that they otherwise can't resolve.

Stuff #2 that I learned is that when different people with different backgrounds come together that can lead to miscommunication. Because of that we need to define "white allyship" so that black people can talk to white people that, while well intentioned, have oppressed them for so long.

Nah, I disagree, let the governor and the mayor continue their insanity and let the entire country see firsthand how progressivism destroys communities. We need to continue to point out all the failures of cities run by progressives for decades. Let the people of Atlanta, Chicago, and every other city run by Democrats learn what it means to defund police. Let them call 911 and no one show up.
 

I watched for 15 minutes. The people gathering were not practicing social distancing and very few were wearing masks. I have heard of these people's babble to last me the rest of my life.


You know during the Civil War, Booker T. Washington was born to a VA slave. As a young man he worked his way through college to receive his diploma. Then he went to Seminary and received his degree there. This occurred in the late 1800's. After the Civil War there were over 5000, elected officials of color holding office from mayor to Congress. When Woodrow Wilson became president he destroyed all the progress we as a country had made in uniting this country. The SOB was a rich Democrat elitist and a Segregationist that wrote a number of papers on the virtues of Socialism.

Today we have a lot of ignorant people in the history of this country because our school system for decades has failed to teach them. And because of that fact we now have universities that teach our children with minds of mush to hate their country. I am so well done with these people.
 

I suspect the city of Seattle authorities are going to find themselves out on their asses curtesy of the taxpaying citizens who have been put through the ringer. This of course presumes that the citizens of Seattle are in fact sane.
 
Maybe what our nation will look like if Biden and the democrats win in November?

Mobs roaming the country tearing down things like don't like, seizing portions of major
US cities taking control of them. Disbanding police across the country.

Question is, why won't the mayor and governor do a damn thing about it? The whole "summer of love" experiment failed, and the body count has started. These elected officials should be arrested for failing to protect citizens and abetting criminals.
Who the hell would ever want to live in Seattle? Or Portland? Or any city or town where anarchists rule the streets?

It's frickin' Deadwood!

I bet there are plenty of sane ones left, but they are too scared to speak up and outnumbered (and out gunned) when it comes to reclaiming their homes, businesses, city streets, parks and oh yeah, all those services they pay for.
Like first responders.
 

Notice the name change to excude "autonomous", because they are a bunch of children, addicts, losers and criminals playing "let's make a fort" in the backyard, while they hand a big, "NO ADULTS ALLOWED" sign on the door.
 

When will the Democrats go after Wilson? Got a bridge linking VA and MD named after the guy.
