SEX ED - Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) recently announced that in April, she would become a 36-year-old grandmother after the birth of her teen son’s baby. Boebert has been blasting “comprehensive sex education” as inappropriate for kids and is now being ruthlessly mocked for her family’s continued inability to stave off teen pregnancy.

Boebert, herself, dropped out of high school when she got pregnant as a teen, and now her son is following in her footsteps.

Boebert’s announcement about her grandchild also included a dig at trans people.

“We are raising our four boys to be men before liberals teach them to be women,” she said before announcing that “not only am I a mom of four boys, but come April, I will be a Gigi to a brand new grandson.”

She then talked about how her son, Tyler, who is almost 18, joked it was “hereditary” since Boebert made her mother a 36-year-old grandma as well.

On top of it all, while speaking at the recent Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), Boebert (R-CO) stated that public school students should be banned from learning sex-ed and about how LGBTQ+ people have sex.

Regarding the last line, they don't pick this up from sex-ed class.
 
Hopefully November 2024 will consign Boebert to the pit of irrelevance where she so clearly belongs. Why anyone would consider voting for her is one of lifes great mysteries, and damning indictment of the intelligence of the people in her district.

You just can't fix stupid, but occasionally it does get elected.

If Notorious GED ever went to college she would have learned that a person's gender idneity is innate from birth and cannot be taught. If her sons are cisgender males then they were born that way. About 1/2 of trans and NB people are estranged from their family because of their gender identity, so obviously it wasn't something that their parents taught them.
 
Are you suggesting her son didn't know his girlfriend could get pregnant? What, do you think it's because he didn't get sex ed in his health class in school?
All the sex ed in the world regardless of where you learned it doesn't matter if you don't apply it. Keep it in your pants is the only thing that works for certain. In my fairly long and experienced life I never knew any guys who didn't know they could knock a girl up if they did "IT". Even taking precautions wasn't a guarantee. ( Kinda like the Covid vaccine promise, Joe, "it you get the shot you will not get sick".) Most guys when presented with the golden opportunity start thinking with the little head and not the big one and that's a recipe for disaster. The argument against sex ed is almost always about, when is an appropriate age and exactly what are you teaching. When you start tossing in transitioning, you are teaching sex ed.

Sometimes the predictions of the future in literature turn out to have a good side. This would not be happening in the fictional state portrayed in the book 1984..which the right tried to ban as leftist propaganda!
 
I hope that he's a good dad. Kids deserve that. He won't be as good as mine, but then, no dad will. If I'm 75% as good as my dad, then that will be an accomplishment.
 
The crazy far right hates sex ed, opposes contraception, yet doesn't want to allow abortion. Their ignorance is only surpassed by their hypocrisy.

Sure, but at least kids are better informed about the choices they're going to make versus not knowing anything at all other than what they learn from TV and peers. Is that a better solution?
 
A box of condoms would have been a more useful Christmas gift than the handgun she bought her boy.

I was raised in a rural catholic school in Ontario and transferred to a US school outside of Buffalo, N.Y. The first time I was called on I rose, brought my palms dutifully together and answered the question, then sat. The classroom was silent for a good four minutes. Then someone asked "did they have bars on the windows at your school?" Everyone laughed.

(The truth is they did have bars on the windows in the gym/auditorium.)

I have nothing but contempt for religion and religious education. It is the purest form of mind control/propaganda.

If you bring god to school, bee prepared to prove his existence.

Sounds like you just were at the wrong religious school. They are only as good as the people running it. Newsflash, there is evil in the world, all parts of the world.
