Latimes poll: Trump in lead...

No, but for that reason I reject it as an applicable vehicle for delivering the liberation of the freedom of We The People.
And if you oppose that then you are as crooked as they are.
Reject it all you want. What are you or anyone else going to do about it? Its the system that WE created. WE have empowered them. You're doomed to either work within the parameters of that system to affect change or else remain on the outside whining like a spoiled child who got a new toy, played with it awhile then got angry because it wasn't all that he thought it would be.

Ah, but what happens when the one thing preventing change is the system itself? Quit trying to downplay the importance of democracy. What you are advocating is oligarchy.

We live in a REPUBLIC. We've never had a real democracy. Do you feel that the Electoral College is a good representation of "democracy"?

Like I stated in an earlier reply to someone else, it's amazing that Americans have become such dupes. Sigh......the failure of our educational system I suppose.

And your powers of comprehension seem to be lacking today by the way......I'm certainly not advocating oligarchy.....I'm simply saying that's essentially what we've ended up with...to a degree.

The word was "dupes." I don't think you are a dope.
Fair enough
And I agree that the entrenched 2-party system along with the electoral college needs to die a miserable death.

I never said anything here on either of those subjects

I feel, however, that you are not seeing the bigger picture.
You barely know me, so I will take that opinion for what it is worth

The general public and the media that feeds it WANT divisiveness

true, the elite want it as a diversion so long as it does not get out of hand, and so long as the little people do as they are told on the important things. It has gotten out of hand. You might have noticed all the thousands of words written by the not extreme Right Elite blaming the R's for letting the crazy making behavior get out of hand since THE CONTRACT WITH AMERICA...I mean it is a great manipulation tool to use on victims, but it cant be taken too far, victims can get ideas they should not have dont ya know......

......they cherish it!
Ya gotta have a good diversion in order to pick pockets well

It makes for great "news", mindless tweets, and a plethora of unsubstantial talking points.
It makes lots of money, and takes up useful space in the minds of little people, when done correctly

Its not that radical change WONT happen, its that I believe that it CANT happen in the state in which our society now lives
You are not much of a student of history I take it

and its not just the Establishment's fault. Much of the blame must be placed on our lazy, uninformed, entitlement-minded society and the irresponsible media (th mainstream and social) hat feeds it. Shame on us all.

Agreed, and I must say that it is a damn good thing that I believe in Redemption:

VOTE TRUMP

Is this level of indigence and contempt necessary? By the way,

ol·i·gar·chy
ˈäləˌɡärkē/
noun
noun: oligarchy; plural noun: oligarchies
a small group of people having control of a country, organization, or institution.
"the ruling oligarchy of military men around the president"
a country governed by an oligarchy.
"the English aristocratic oligarchy of the 19th century"
government by oligarchy.

You're defense of the rigging is a defense of oligarchy, the DNC putting their finger on the scales is deliberately rigging. It is also a violation of the rights inherent within each individual as guaranteed by our Constitutional Republic. One of these is freedom of speech, the 1st Amendment...

Indigence? When did we start taking about poverty? I guess I missed something.

Exactly where did I DEFEND it? I'm extremely opposed to it. I, unlike most millennials, live in a world of reality. Ideals are great things....but I was simply sharing a dose of reality. Stop playing the blame game. Its time WE as a society start shouldering some of the blame for the system that WE created, DEPENDED ON, and have SUPPORTED with our votes. You think changing our system will change the "hearts of men' or suddenly make the American public more rational and informed? This is not the same world that I live in.

Really? So voting for a megalomaniac Billionaire who goes thru wives like candy and doesn't even know how many articles the Constitution has is your "rebellion"? No one fits the bill as a " incompetent morality challenged elite" as much as Trump does.

I do not agree.

Then you would agree we need to inject more democracy into our campaign-finance system.

No, I will go one further. We should banish campaign financing entirely, abolish the 12th amendment to the COTUS and start from scratch. Perhaps take some advice from the Founding Fathers. George Washington was quite prophetic in warning us of this impending political conundrum in his farewell address. If you've never read it in it's entirety, I suggest you do.

RCP AVERAGE is 2.7 to Clinton.
Which is basically a tie.

This has to be the worst election year ever.

We have to go all the way back to reversing the ruling that Corporations are citizens, and then also that financial corruption of the political system can not be restrained because it is "free speech".

The Constitution is not the root problem, a poorly functioning SCOTUS is the problem.

That's just a small part of the problem. Society in general is the problem.

SCOTUS is not the only governing body that interprets the constitution and certainly not responsible for all of the formal changes made to it.

As a Zennist i will say that we are always all connected except in cases of insanity, so of course you are in part correct.....

We did not get our huge book of intentionally poorly written and abusive laws so very often supporting unwise policy without the society being part of the problem....... we allowed this, we at points encouraged this.

Laugh all you want, but Bernie consistently polls higher than Mrs. Clinton against Donald Trump.

Plus, I think Socialist vs Capitalist would make for some good debates!

I really wanted that race. To put the race into such a stark contrast and see which way the country wanted to go.

I couldn't agree more.

The debates would've been fascinating, and as you point-out: It would've been a de facto referendum.

The BOOMERS, you know...the ones who dominate the electorate.....have never been willing to choose, or pay as they/we go.

"GIVE ME THE WHOLE NINE YARDS, and charge it to the kids and the grandkids credit card" is what they always say.

What makes you think anything has changed?

That's what the MSM is all about....Lefty turd birds that they are....

Crap, wait until Trump starts unloading on her...the libs will have to resort to guns because they will run out of knives. :lamo

It's gonna be a battle.

Well, I'd like to see what Trump can do, he's been a success story most of his life and is a no nonsense, can do, type of guy. Hillary?.....just another slug...leaving a slime trail.

I'm a watchin.

Indeed.

But...obama owes her from the last time, it's payback.

Donald will mount a Full Court Press, too...

What will Trump do about terror? How does he plan to get companies that have already left the US and spent a lot of money moving their plants/businesses etc out of the US, back to the US?
How does he plan to reinvigorate the economy? what are his specific plans?

Does he have any regarding healthcare?
Human Rights?
Energy?
Religion?
Immigration?

You lost me, as to how your post relates to mine.

You're saying Trump = boomers, and Bernie = kids?

All while spending 1/10 of the money with 1/10 of the staff and the entire MSM trying thier damndest to derail him.

It would appear that the MSM has suddenly lost it's power to make or break a candidate.

It would've been a de facto referendum........You said

TO have a referendum one needs to choose, which we are not willing to do, and if the Politicians do what they have always done over my life they will not demand that we choose. What they do is promise to get us the everything that we demand, then try to deliver it, usually though unsound means.

Bernie and Trump have enough on the ball to not tell us that we cant have what we want, they have both talked about this extensively.....they would if they went head to head do what politicians have long done...... promise us everything regardless of reality, regardless of wisdom.

I hope this helps. I have a nasty habit of not leaving enough breadcrumbs. Feel free to make enquiries, I dont mind at all so long as the questions are not stupid.

Of course it never would be stupid coming from you.
