Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid has congratulated Benjamin Netanyahu on his victory in Tuesday's general election. Mr Lapid said he had called his rival to wish him luck and tell him he would ensure an orderly transition of power. Mr Netanyahu's Likud party and its far-right and religious allies won 64 of the 120 seats in parliament, according to final results released on Thursday. It marks a dramatic comeback for the former prime minister, who was ousted by his opponents 14 months ago.

Netanyahu returns to power in Israel while under indictment for bribery, fraud, and breach of trust.

Pretty sad when 7,069,000 Isreali Jews can't find anyone better than the ultra far-right Netanyahu to lead their country.

This is the guy everybody told us “honestly hes not psychoticly far right he just coalitions with them!”. Israel has been under the yolk of the far right for so long theres just a miniscule size left wing.

Check out Ben Gvir if ya want to know where this is heading.

Bibi is an Isreali problem.

Hoping he doesn't drag us into war with Iran etc.
If we get dragged into a war with Iran, you can blame the moron now occupying the White House.

Blame the moron who abandoned the nuclear deal, undermining gradual reform in Iran and giving the hard line in Iran all the excuse they need to regain power.

Meanwhile the election of Bibi means increasing apartheid for Palestinians, and hopeless people tend to commit violence.

What is particularly non-sensical is the fact that some Israeli Arabs stayed at home as a protest during this election. 55% turn out is low historically. This was such an important election, the turn out should have been very high. Not voting- that is no way to protest.

Any suggestion that the nuke deal with the Iranians during the Obama administration was in any way preventing the Iranians from developing nukes is preposterous. If anything, with it's sunshine date, it enabled them in the process. Adn there is also the fact that those kinds of agreements are worthless if not ratified by the US Senate. Same goes with the Paris Climate Accord.

Wrong. The real apartheid on the Palistineans is coming from their own so-called leaders and groups such as Hamas and Hezbollah. The world has donated well enough money to provide for the Palistineans, however it is sidetracked to buy weapons and build rockets to use against Israel.

Let's be intellectually honest. Those leading the Palistineans have one goal and one goal only. The extermination of the state of Israel. Peace and prosperity can be had if they simply accept Israel's right to exist.
