This is either the beginning of the end of the shutdown, or the end of our country as we know it...

The Federal Aviation Administration halted flights into New York’s LaGuardia Airport because of a shortage of air-traffic control staff, escalating the pressure on President Donald Trump and lawmakers to end the government shutdown.

A lack of workers at an air-traffic control facility in the Washington area prompted the FAA to order a ground stop at LaGuardia, one of the nation’s busiest transportation hubs. Flights at other East Coast airports such as Washington’s Reagan National, Newark Liberty International and Philadelphia International were also delayed Friday.

By the end of Atlas Shrugged, socialism has caused the trains to stop, industry to shut down and the country to be ground to a halt. Only it isn't socialists that are grinding the United States to a halt; it's Trump and McConnell.

Well I mean "The great capitalist," is declaring that the only way to build his stupid wall is to steal $5 Billion from the taxpayers. Can't get much more socialist than that!

GOP senator reportedly slams McConnell over shutdown: ‘This is your fault’

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) tore into Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Thursday, saying the record-long government shutdown was McConnell’s “fault,” according to The Washington Post.

Frustrated Republican senators lashed out at each other and Vice President Pence on Thursday during a private GOP lunch.

“This is your fault,” Johnson told the Republican leader, according to the Post.

“Are you suggesting I’m enjoying this?” McConnell reportedly fired back.

McConnell made a stunning admission during the Senate luncheon, telling Pence that closing the government to secure Trump’s long-desired border wall was not a smart move.

“McConnell talked about how we need to bring this process to a close; we should never have had a shutdown; they don’t work; I’ve said this numerous times; I don’t know how many times I’ve told you there’s no education in the second kick of a mule,” a GOP source familiar with the meeting told The Hill.

Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) told reporters after the Senate votes that Pence got an “earful” from senators.

“We’re all hearing from our constituents who are working for no pay,” Cornyn said. “And there’s a parade of horribles of how people who are having to cope with not getting paid, and it’s not good.”

You couldn't pay me to fly now, and security lines aren't the problem. It's the lack of safety checks.

I have a vacation in March, I hope it all gets cleared up by then. This seems to be a silent protest by many in the TSA and other airport operations. You can't work for a month without a paycheck. Not everyone gets unlimited funds via investments.
 
If other airports follow suit and shut down, this is going to place McConnell's and Trump's neck right on the chopping block and they better get off their asses and pass a continuing resolution TODAY or there will be massive protests and it's all on them.
 
Fox is still slanting the story about the whole shutdown towards trump by blaming the democrats for not taking trump's offers to end the shutdown. Not only that but the important point, I also am hearing them softening the wall to barrier, a lot.

So to cover that little blunder they are about to discuss, if the democrats don't come around, initiating the emergency clause to build the wall.

Enough for me twenty minutes and I'm about to puke. Gonna' put on some real news. MSNBC, CNN.

I mean it's one of NYs largest airports, but I assume JFK and Dulles/Reagan airports would affect them more. Then again they could just be "Loser Llibural airports!!!!!!"

LaGuardia and JFK airports represent 25% of all flights in the country. These are major hubs for air traffic from all over the country and Europe and if they are stopped, every other flight that passes through gets diverted or stopped.

It's also controlled chaos, so this isn't going to help. LaGuardia has massive amounts of travelers, is under going large scale construction, and now this. Yeesh.

All McConnell has to do is allow any of the House bills opening government to a vote.
