I couldn't check any of the criteria. But let me tell you about one of my friends, who isn't Eastern European, doesn't have a weave, and most certainly doesn't have a fake doggie that fits in her purse.

The purse is gorgeous. Color is "cognac," and it's very expensive. Concealed place for her .38. She married a guy seven years ago who lives out in the country (350 acres). Already had a horse and did all the horsey-stuff, but now she bales hay, buys cows at auction, and delivers calves (and a precious donkey two days ago). Expert marksman--turkey, deer, you name it. Up in the blind or tromping through the mud with the hubs. Oh, and beautiful and a Ph.D.

Not high-maintenance. Definitely worth "maintaining," though, wouldn't you say?

I always thought a high maintenance woman is one who is selfish or lazy and acts like they can't take care of themselves (except for their appearance). For example, if you have to constantly ask people to help you do things because you don't want to chip your nails, you are high maintenance.

The other category to beware of is phony people. Women tend to be the worst. Our culture almost requires it. If you can't be seen without makeup, dyed hair, padded bra and high heels etc. that's rather pathetic. If people like that spent as much time exercising and taking care of their health as they spend hiding their true appearance, they would probably look great. (although I know there are women who do both) Its extra pathetic when people try to hide their race or ethnicity, There is nothing sexier than a woman who takes care of herself and and has no shame over her natural self.

Easier to answer if I say what is not high maintenance. If you bait your own hook you are not high maintenance.

So a lot of women, including myself, are capable of baiting their own hook. I guess that means that your original statement, that all women are high maintenance, was incorrect.

Well I remember being a Kid growing up and my Mother was reading a Book on......Real Women Don't Pump Gas. Course this was way back before they had self serve gas stations. :lol:

First she started out being a SAHM.....once she started working for everything she owned. After she got divorced and worked 2 jobs. Then she would always be on us about having a Champagne tatse but a Beer Pocketbook. Plus to watch out for those types.

My mother was really good looking too. But she was never consider High Maintenance with any of the Guys she went out with after she got divorced. After her divorce and then when all her girlfriends would be around. Which all of her girlfriends were smoking hot. (Whom a couple I had crushes on.) Would get together and talk about other women and men.

I Got four out of 10. If I had the time to take care of a dog then I might have a dog that fit in my purse although I think I want a sheltie and they're a bit too big for that. If I didn't destroy my knee playing college soccer I would wear higher then three inch heels.

So maybe I'm right in between?

I take 2hrs to get ready on an average day, less if I'm just hanging around the house. I will not leave my house without the perfect outfit and I have enough clothes to fill a few average size walk in closets.

Fashion's my hobby, I love make-up although sometimes I think I look better without it. A special cabinet was put in my bathroom to keep all of my make-up and it still spills out into other rooms.

I don't think I'm that high maintenance though and your poll finally proves that! I can't wait to show everybody who has said otherwise!

Well in all honesty, the #6 is valid to a point. There are golddiggers in Eastern Europe too.
But golddiggers and loose women all fit the same description: long nails, high heels, tons of makeup, etc.

You can't distinguish eastern european golddiggers from any other golddigger just by looks because they all look the same.

And yes..they are very beautiful..in a drag queen sort of a way!!

I was confused how this applied only to women. My sisters husband and many men sit on their ass and bark orders like lazy, self appointed rulers. I agree it's really more of an emotional issue than material, because two partners can make it better in this world than just one person.

2 hours to get ready on an average day? What the heck are you getting ready for?

That's not necessarily high maintenance (unless you have an esthetician and wardrobe manager on retainer) but it's definitely high patience!

For work.

Most of the time is spent on my hair it's long and I have high standards. It took over 2hrs for two professional hair stylists to simultaneously curl it and then style it. Usually I don't have the luxury of having people do it for me so if I wanted to do it myself it would take much longer and that's without make-up and wardrobe. I've cut it down to 2hrs just because I can't afford anymore time then that but on days off I could spend all day playing around with hair and make-up alone.

It does take a lot of patience but I have fun doing it :nails
