Kyle Rittenhouse special

Here is a exert from the prosecutor's report. Rettenhouse is clearly being attacked by all three people he shot. Self defense, easy to see.

Kenosha County prosecutors wrote that video showed the teen running across a parking lot, trailed by Joseph Rosenbaum, 36, of Kenosha. Video showed Rosenbaum appearing to throw a plastic bag at Rittenhouse and missing him, prosecutors wrote. A witness told police that Rosenbaum, who appeared on video to be unarmed, had tried to grab the gun before he was fatally shot, prosecutors wrote.

In his statement, Pierce wrote that Rittenhouse was justified in shooting “an attacker lunging towards him and reaching for his rifle.”

Rittenhouse then ran before someone knocked off his hat, and he tripped and fell, prosecutors wrote. A man carrying a skateboard and later identified as Anthony Huber, 26, of Silver Lake, approached Rittenhouse as he was still on his back, prosecutors wrote. Huber tried to grab the gun as the skateboard “(made) contact” with Rittenhouse’s shoulder before the alleged gunman fired one shot, and Huber collapsed and died, prosecutors alleged.

Prosecutors wrote that Rittenhouse then shot a man who had approached him, Gaige Grosskreutz of West Allis. Grosskreutz appeared to be holding a handgun when he was wounded in the arm, prosecutors wrote.

As a 17 y.o. he didn't have any first amendment right to carry a semi-automatic weapon in WI (also not legal in his home state IL). So, his first crime was committed even before he crossed the IL/WI border. He did not need to protect himself as he had no business being their carrying a unlawful weapon. His self protection would have been to not being somewhere, illegally, that he had no business to be.

Your unqualified opinion is noted.

Wrong. Well, at least you’re consistent.

Rittenhouse had no legal right to carry an AR-15 in public (read charging document), and he had no right to be on the private property he was allegedly “protecting” with illegal force.

Get your facts straight.

Theory explored and debunked. But keep beating your dead horse. It is amusing.

Wait.. so...its your contention that these folks were trying to kill Rittenhouse.. and they had firearms.. and yet.. they DIDN"T shoot him first.. but instead waited for him to shoot them? While they used a skateboard?

That doesn;t really make sense.. now does it?

You seem to have a reading comprehension problem. I said they were attacking Rittenhouse. It was Grosskreutz who claimed he wanted to "empty his clip" into Rittenhouse.

By the way. A skateboard being used as a club is a weapon. But you know what they say about someone who brings a skateboard to a gunfight. That would be covered under Darwinism.

Not sure why the moron child strutted around a dispute brandishing his weapon and then got surprised he wasn't the only one who could menace with violence ... but that said, yeah, a skateboard to the head will &*^% someone up. This reminds me of when Bernhard Goetz shot someone carrying a screwdriver -- yeah, a screwdriver will kill you too, people shouldn't pretend it's not scary.

one of the reasons why he walked on everything but the silly Sullivan law nonsense. However, when he shot (IIRC) Bernard Cantby (sp) in the back, after the youth was unconscious, BG should have been convicted of that. A guy I once knew well got a 30 million dollar verdict, again IIRC against Goetz, for that

I don't post opinions, I post facts. You should try it. You may gain some credibility.

Right.. you said they were attacking Rittenhouse... and earlier you stated Rittenhouse was with hundreds of other people. That doesn;t match up..unless you believe that those few hundreds of people.. let Rittenhouse get attacked. with a skateb

But bringing a skateboard to a gunfight?. Well you would bring a skateboard.. when you don;t plan to get into a gunfight... YOU BRING A GUN.. WHEN YOU PLAN TO GET INTO A GUNFIGHT.

What seems more likley?.. that a fellow will be the aggressor and take on a person with an AR15. using only a skateboard.

OR that a fellow with a skateboard.. will attempt to save his life or the life of others from an aggressor with an AR15 .. by using his skateboard as the only weapons he has on hand.?
\
Obviously the second one makes much more sense.

More ignorance and lies. Point out where I said "Rittenhouse was with hundreds of other people". Try sticking with the truth and facts and you won't come off as an a$$hat.

Here is some information that seems to elude you. The aggressor is not the guy who is running away. The aggressors are the guys who are chasing him.

Anyone who thinks it "makes sense" for someone with a skateboard to chase down and physically attack someone with an AR-15 says it all. Do you also think it makes sense to run into interstate traffic because cars are speeding?

So if someone mugs someone, then runs away, anyone chasing the poor darling are the aggressors?

completely different factual pattern

Not according to the DA on the case.

what are the factual grounds for saying what KR did, prior to shooting, that is the equivalent of an unprovoked mugging?

If two eyewitnesses are to be believed, he was on the other side of a car from his first victim, not immediately threatened. Sounds like he lost his temper at the man's smack talking and shot him.

The DA doesn't, of course, have to tell us all the details until the trial (or if the defending attorneys publish discovery findings).
