Do you really think a junkie is going to reference this article to learn about the drug?
#smh
Sounds like a bit of hype to me. I had to look it up, because it sounded like an opiate derivative. Yep. It's an opiate. And people inject toxic stuff into themselves with opiates.
But the scare quotes in the article remind me of Reefer Madness...
This Heroin Alternative “Eats Flesh” – But How?
Yup. I spent my teen years in a nice suburb around Minneapolis, and it's taken a couple of my old aquaintences. There was a huge smokable heroin outbreak here amongst young people, and that progressed into shooting up.
So these are people with no degrees, no job prospects, many of whom have even had their parents give up on them, living in squalor now. They're perfectly primed to pick up something like krokodil.
If the junkie happens to be a high school kid addicted to oxycontin, then yeah.
It's bad enough we have a huge 'HEROIN' problem across the Chicago suburbs and now out towards Peoria in all directions with all Demographics..
Having a former student die of heroin overdose and being close to the parents, I still feel the pain..
Now we have a new flesh-eating drug, sold as Heroin known as Krokodil..
Made with Codeine and gasoline/paint-thinner, it is very addicting, used as a Heroin substitute or sold as a Lie..
Students are literally scratching their arms and legs off and some have lost limbs.

I have not heard any actual medical confirmation it is kroc. The reality is heavy heroin users get infections that can also eat away at the flesh and because of their lifestyle and resources do not get them treated until they end up in the hospital as an emergency. This may also be the case of curious people experimenting with a new high and chosing one despite clear warnings it causes this sort of thing..
Big Pharma would never allow this..The best defense seems to be something we have already done. That is taking codeine cough syrups off the market and making it prescription only and keeping the supply very low as doctors go more for things like DXM products and antihystemines.

My points were directly from Chicago news interviews with Suburban teens as well as a community meeting on Heroin/Kroc..
no intentional short-quoting out of context..yours was a long post

Since my Dad died of ALZ, would you hear out a surmise that ALZ really didn't come to be known until WW 2 generation started taking Big Pharma, especially mixed with alcohol?
