Kremlin Says Navalny's Hospitalization Shouldn't Hurt Ties With West

MOSCOW -- The Kremlin says it does not want the hospitalization of Russian opposition leader Aleksei Navalny to damage relations between Moscow and the West, but is opposed to saying that Navalny was "poisoned" until medical tests confirm finding a specific toxin in his body. Germany, the United States, and other Western countries have called on Moscow to open an investigation into why Navalny collapsed on a Russian commercial flight from Siberia last week. Those calls came after German doctors said their initial medical examination pointed to poisoning. The renowned Charite hospital in Berlin, where Navalny is being treated, said on August 24 that "clinical findings indicate intoxication by a substance from the group of active substances called cholinesterase inhibitors." Charite said the specific substance to which Navalny was exposed isn't yet known but that a further series of comprehensive tests had been started. Despite increasing evidence that Navalny was attacked with poison, the Kremlin insists that the German medical examinations have been inconclusive. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on August 26 that "there is no reason" for the disagreement to damage Russia's relations with the West. "Of course we don't want this to happen," Peskov told reporters.

The 44-year-old anticorruption campaigner is a staunch critic of President Vladimir Putin. He was being treated at Berlin’s Charite hospital where he remained in an induced coma on August 26. But on August 26, Peskov asked journalists rhetorically, "How can we talk about poisoning if there is no poison?" On August 25, Peskov had claimed that German doctors were "rushing" to use the word "poisoning." Navalny’s supporters say they think he was poisoned when he drank tea purchased at the Tomsk airport in Siberia before boarding his flight. His rapidly deteriorating condition during the flight forced the plane he was traveling on to make an emergency landing in Omsk, where he spent two days in a hospital before being airlifted to Berlin. According to a Russian newspaper report, Navalny had been under surveillance by Russian federal security agents during his trip to Siberia. The United States, NATO, and European countries have called on Russia to conduct a swift investigation into the suspected poisoning. NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg told journalists on August 26 that he backs calls for a transparent Navalny investigation, while British Prime Minister Boris Johnson also called on August 26 for an independent probe into the case.

Well Mr. Peskov, when the regime has a long history of assassinating journalists and opposition activists, you can't very well complain the world is drawing a conclusion prematurely.

While Navalny is lying in an elite hospital in Berlin, the coordinator of his staff, Oleg Stepanov, rushed to vacation in Turkey in a no less elite hotel for 150,000 rubles/day. The scheme for collecting money from suckers for the" revolution " works, Yes...

Thank God international pressure forced the Putin regime to allow Mr. Navalny competent medical care in Germany.

There is no such thing in Russia. Healthcare is on a par with Bolivia.

For almost a week, german doctors-murderers put their inhuman experiments on the russian opposition leader Alexey Navalny, there is no information, general words about poisoning without specifying specific poisons, which would help to find an antidote and lead to a speedy healing of the patient.

You know what I thinking? Navalny in Germany is not about the brave opposition to the Putin regime, but about Nord Stream-2, which is really close to completion.
And how can poor Germany now buy even more gas through it from dirty, vile poisoners and, God forbid, murderers of the Kremlin's chief critic?!

You see? Always look for class interest in any political event! Marxism rules!

 The fact is Mr. Stalin, you'd see conspiracy in a commode.

I know... Much more profitable to look for russian troops in Novorossia, it is not a conspiracy at all!

I don't get it....Russian doctors in less than two days pulled Alyaksei from the grave, stabilized his condition, made a billion tests and sent the patient on a flight. The germans have been holding him as vegetable for the second week, they can't say anything specific, they give out something unintelligible and waiting for poison specialists... So where are the best real doctors?

Navalny would be dead by now without international pressure to get him far away from the regime that poisoned him.

In your universe that you live in, are there elves, unicorns, or magic ?

The only thing that the German doctors gave us is that the analysis data indicate that Navalny was intoxicated with a substance of the cholinesterase inhibitor group. Let me remind you that cholinesterase inhibitors are used in various medications, as well as used as an antidote for cocaine overdose.

Now you know more than German doctors and chemists?

You're more amazing than your namesake!

The US will conduct military exercises in Estonia.
Defensive, of course.
"Defence" will be using multiple rocket systems in 110 km from the borders of the Russian Federation.

And once, not long ago, the state Department called Russia's exercises in the Astrakhan region a provocation. Because of the" proximity " of Ukraine's borders... SH

Politico: "Forget about Navalny, Germany will not take a hard line against Russia."

The US publication is upset that Navalny, like a log, like a felled tree, was put in the way of russian cooperation with the germans, and the germans did not fall for this obvious provocation... Damn!

You talk about everything except the poisoning of Navalny.

Why is that?

Why is that?

The German authorities can not provide new information about the state of health of Alexey Navalny.
And why the authorities, and not doctors? Or is Navalny being treated personally by Dr Merkel?

German portal Focus wrote an article about the poisoning of Navalny. The authors even suggest serious health problems for the blogger and emphasize that the poisoning could have been caused by unwise medication for Alzheimer's disease

Wow, look what happens. Other opinion in the western media... Crazy...

 Then you admit that Putin poisoned Navalny. Progress.

Yes, an obviously absurd story.

If the Russian state poisoned him, he wouldn't have been allowed to fly to Germany.
In which case the intended warning to others of the opposition would have fallen flat.

You clearly haven't learned the lesson yet that any denial from the Kremlin, coming via whichever channel (including your keyboard), serves as evidence. Intentionally so.

That's really all YOU are good for on here and it ain't much now, is it?

What does it feel like, just as a matter of interest, to spend your time with lying for money?

Navalny's murder would have been a very good warning to the opposition.

Allowing him to fly to Germany, complete with Novichuk evidence, in order for the West to launch another anti Russian crusade etc is pure madness.

So, please answer my question. Why would the Kremlin allow it?

The rest of your post is puerile and contemptible personal accusations based on what I can only assume to be your own intolerance.

I already said why but I'll make an exception for you in that Kremlin doctors can hardly come up with the truth, if they want their careers and possibly health to remain unimpaired.

This way the word is out and the Kremlin can go into its own perpetual denial as it is prone to do, conveniently blaming the Western propaganda to the point of (as we now get to hear) accusing the Berlin doctors of having poisoned Navalny themselves.

The rest of your post is puerile and contemptible personal accusations based on what I can only assume to be your own intolerance.
Well, I have no tolerance for Moscow shills and when they lie as continuously as you have been doing ever since you joined, contempt is the word.
