It wouldn’t go down like that. Launching nukes at a non-nuclear country when there is zero need for it would show just how necessary it is to remove Putin from power.

The US would begin taking conventional war actions to advance that goal, declaring a no-fly zone over Ukraine to start, expanding to air strikes on Russia if that didn’t stop the conflict.

Further on the back foot, Putin would try using nuclear weapons again, this time against NATO, and THAT would precipitate nuclear war.

And if you can’t see that chain of logic and action, then you have no business commenting on this topic. I can promise you the guys who would have to drop/launch that first nuke on a civilian target in Ukraine would see it.

Because you have no idea have military chain of command works. There’s far more steps between a President and a tactical nuclear system than there is between a President and a strategic one.
