With that said, if I were alive in that time and not german or japanese, I think I would try to make myself as invisible as possible. America did send the Japanese-American citizens to concentration camps. Couldn't do that with Germans because they looked too much like the typical American and 10% of the pop had at least one German parent. Instead, we turned away Jewish refugees, knowing in 1939 of the Nazi death camps, fearing there were German spies among them.
