Hannity is a cancer.
Hannity's an embarrassment to real journalists like Chris Wallace and Bret Baier.
And my thanks to FOX for letting Greta go; she's professional, smart and highly respected by her guests; all reasons why she had to be let go .
Koppel is Mainstream Media. So is Hannity.
Next.
On CBS's "Sunday Morning, Ted called out Sean. And Hannity was none too happy about that.

wow, that sure sounds like snowflake melting to me. How is he a cancer when the leftwing drivel from the MSM is not?
You must be a fan of Ann Coulter than since she was an honors graduate from Cornell, Order of the Coif (basically the law school version of Phi Beta Kappa) at one of the very best law schools in the Nation (Michigan-and she was an OUT OF STATE acceptance which is say in the same league as Stanford or Harvard) and then Clerked for the second highest court of the land (federal Circuit court of appeals) and then was a Dept. of Justice Honors hire.
so if you are going to base commentary on education, I put Ms. Coulter's education ahead of Ted's.
If you cared to read what I said I mentioned that he has had a distinguished career. Dude has won numerous awards. I would suggest he's far more neutral than most.
Koppel is an award winning Journalist. Hannity is a nothing.
But I get why you think they're the same. Some folks buy the Trump Tripe. Clearly you are one.
Ted Koppel is a credible jounalist with a Journalism degree from Syracuse and a Masters in Mass Communication from Stanford. He has had a distinguished career.
Hannity is a college dropout. He's a gasbah at best.

Education doesn't matter to Hannity supporters, who love the bigotry and bias that is always a part of his program. I was forced to watch him (at the workplace), while I was in Florida doing some contract work, during the Trayvon Martin shooting. His bigotry really came out, during that time.
Ted Koppel:One a scale of one (Rather biased) to ten (completely objective say like some of the guys in the 60s) Koppel's about a 7 or an 8
Text of Ted Koppel's Commencement address: 6/98I believe that, ultimately, questions of what is right and wrong require the individual to measure himself against absolute standards of ethics and responsibility. Not that any one of us ever completely measures up to those standards; but you can't set your compass, moral or otherwise, by a shifting North Star. Our generation has become so comfortable watching itself being defined according to polls and ratings and surveys, in the Dow or on the NASDAQ, in the outcome of elections or in public propositions or referenda, that we have sunk into a sort of general relativism, in which all issues are determined by majority vote or a public display of the lowest common denominator: We learn, according to the syndicated lesson taught by Jerry Springer, that while all of us are flawed, we who are watching are not nearly as flawed as the poor souls he parades in front of us. Which may, if the lesson is repeated often enough, teach us that, rather than struggling toward an ideal of perfect behavior, we can always console ourselves with the examples of those even weaker than we are.
By our failure to judge or act decisively on moral issues as individuals, we contribute to a collective caricature of tolerance; a universal lack of discrimination (in the qualitative sense of the word), in which almost everything is reduced to a form of entertainment: murder, suicide, theft, adultery, corruption, perjury, bigotry; and, of course, the efforts of law enforcement to bring the perpetrators to justice. Those constitute one half of our entertainment diet, while watching prosecutors and defense lawyers battle it out in the courtroom coliseum, that makes up the other half.
And it hardly seems to make much difference any more whether the chase is real or fictional, or whether the courtroom drama was created by a playwright or a legal "dream team." Those parodies of justice, in which race, money and superstardom are used to undermine our jury system, are not merely distractions; they overwhelm our ability to focus on reality. We have, on a per capita basis, more people in prison than any other industrial country in the world. And all too many, if not most of those prisoners, are there as the result of a 10-minute plea-bargaining session in some courtroom corridor. The O.J. Simpson trial had nothing to do with the way that most Americans experience our legal system. It was a show, a display of legal narcissism

Koppel seems envious that Hannity's opinion based show is more popular than many so called hard news shows.
But Koppel did not single out Hannity during the interview, explaining he had said the same thing of liberal-leaning presenters — specifically MSNBC's Rachel Maddow — for blurring the line between journalism and opinion.

Good example of skewing what the point was of Ted Koppels piece.
100% right, Hannity is a bomb throwing propagandist that attracts the ignorant rabble like moths to a flame
If there is one thing Trump excels at connecting with the dumbest is it.
.
Plus he is civil.
Pretty rare around here lately.
Well, this bomb from Koppel sure has attracted a lot of ignorant rabble here in this thread.
LOL!!
So you're basically saying the vast majority of Americans are dumb and the vast majority of Europeans are smart.
Wow. Koppel nails it. Hannity and the other ideological talking heads are bad for this country.
And, you think that is a good thing?
I've said it before, and I'll say it again. It always concerns me that whenever I see a European leader speaking, they seek to connect with the smartest people in the crowd. Whereas, when an American politician speaks, they seek to connect with the dumbest people in it.
