100%. They want activist judges that have the power to create new laws and new constitutional amendments. It's always top-down authoritarianism with these people. When the judicial system operates as it's supposed to, as the literal status quo branch, they lose their minds.

A great example is State voter id laws. They're clearly constitutional. But Dems don't like them. Not for any altruistic reasons ( that's just typical Dem BS) but because they think it's going to cost them votes. So they don't want state legislatures deciding that, they want 5 unelected judges deciding it.

Lol...and then they will turn right around and say that IDs, registration, costs, background checks, and innumerable other things aren't an infringement on 2A rights. I don't know how they can maintain such contradictions in their heads.

The cognitive dissonance caused by the two thoughts are easily resolved.
The thought that doesn't align with the leftist ideology is filed into the memory black hole, never to be seen, heard from, or thought about ever again. It's the same place where all non-ideologically aligned facts get filed. They simply cease to exist in their realty, or so they think. 🤷‍♂️

Now they want to see Jackson's pre-trial material from US Probation and Pre-trial Services. That is just ridiculous. Fortunately, they have no shot at getting it. However combined with the performances of GOP Senators in the hearing and this laughable request, taken in total, DESPICABLE, RUDE, DEMEANING, DISRESPECTFUL. But, the are Republicans. What else is new. Just the cherry on top of utter embarrassment for the US Senate.
