I am watching CSPAN right now and John Kerry is at a Jefferson-Jackson dinner in New Hampshire and is telling everyone, I am thinking very seriously about running again in 2008.........

I love it.......Hillary and Kerry.........WOW!!!!

He'll probably run, but he has no shot at the nomination.

Seems like I heard that in 2004 too....

Then you must've been living under a rock, as he was the frontrunner for the nomination for all but two months of the primary campaign season.

Nope< Howard the Duck was until he went rabid....actually Kerry was a long shot for a long time until the whacko base fell in love with him.....

You have a very short memory. Howard Dean was the frontrunner from November 2003 to January 2004. Kerry was the frontrunner for the nomination for the entire campaign season, before and after that time period.

Kinda sad, actually. Dean would've been a much better candidate and a much better president than Kerry.

Your'e way off on both counts.

Dean was done before the scream. - Read "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised" by Joe Trippi, Dean's campaign manager for a good account of the campaign.

Kerry was the chosen one, picked because of his "electability" . When was Kerry ever a longshot?

Absolutely. Dean's stock will go way up if the Dem's produce on election day. He is still at odds with the DLC, but his 50 state strategy has made races that no Dem ever thought of supporting, competitive. Dean is looking at the big picture in terms of strategy and it seems to be right on the mark.

I can remember when Kerry was trailing so badly in the primaries he was thinking about dropping out of the race..........

As far as Dean goes.........Two peas in a pod........Both far left whackos.......Dean did his implosion act with his famous scream and was done though...Even the Liberals dumped him then....

Tell me hips, what state in the South will the dems carry in 2008 with the "Ice Princess" as your candidate?

No you don't. Because that never happened.

Dean is hardly "far left." He's a moderate, Bill Clinton Democrat. Kerry was much farther left than Dean. Dean cut taxes, balanced Vermont's budget, and supports free trade. Hardly the policies of a left-wing firebrand.

Dean is a left wing whacko nut case who is anti military........Clinton ran as a moderate and governed at a liberal.....You don't have to believe me....Ask a real democrat Zell Miller....

Zell Miller rules! :duel

Kerry is a man whose positions and principles change with the blowing of the wind. He will say anything his handlers tell him to, and the voters know it. The democrats would do well to recognize this and not run him a second time.

In the early primaries Kerry was way behind and considering dropping out.....He stayed and the dems named him "The comeback Kid."

If he was done then what was the scream about when he was saying all the places he was going to win?

And so prays every single Republican..

Hillary would quite possibly the weakest candidate fielded by either party since Michael Dukakis. She did WORSE than both Al Gore and John Kerry in almost every single county in New York.

Either one is fine with me.......They are both losers....I would prefer Hillary though...She would be more fun..............

How bad is the democratic party when those are their choices.....

Answer: None.

Now if Mark Warner ran and got the nomination how many would the Dems carry then?

There you are the pot calling the Kettle black. A Conservative defining Democrat when you were against the idea of a Liberal defining what a conservative/Republican is in another thread.

Yes MD but you have a slight problem.......Since the base of your party is controlled by the whacko left Warner would have very little chance to win a primary.........They only nominate people like Kerry and Gore who are far left like them.......

If you need any proof of that see Leiberman and Edwards in 2004 although Edwards has been moving to the far left lately for a possible run in 2008.......

A moderate definitely has a problem

Bill Clinton was a moderate. In fact, I see very few political differences between Bill Clinton and Mark Warner. So he quite possibly could have won the nomination if he wanted it.

Ask Zell Miller if Clinton was a moderate.....He tried to fool people and run as one just like Hillary is doing and his first official act was to try and allow gays to serve openly in the military.hardly the action of a moderate......

The only reason that he passed bills like welfare reform and the balanced budget becasue he was dragged kicking and screaming by the Republican Congress to do it.........
