How can someone who has a degree from MIT be so STUPID. I would guess he is one of those people who think the world is only 6 thousand years old, but he knew that the info he was using on C02 in the atmosphere was from 200 million years ago. Did he not realize that the earth was younger and the volcanic action much worse then which created higher C02 levels. I guess not. If the super volcano in Yellowstone ever erupts he will find out. I think that the GOP will go to any lengthens to help the fossil fuel industry keep there hold on the world.
 


Oh God...its even worse than that. Congressman Massie is not a stupid man...just ignorant.

Not only did he not get that 800,000 years ago and even farther back than that there were good reasons why C02 levels were much higher. It did not compute for him that humans have only been on the planet for some 200,000 years. Hence no HUMAN had to breadth the air with those toxic C02 levels. Go back far enough and the atmosphere on planet Earth would KILL us. Worse, he wanted to argue the point!

Honest to God, when you look at the level of discourse here at this forum and look at the level of discourse on the Hill, I am beyond discouraged. I never thought I would be so happy to be old as dirt but I am and happy to be. I don't have that much farther to go. I just have no idea how this gets better in what is left of my lifetime.

Yeah, the guy who doesn't realize that a liberal arts degree would be a BA, not a BS. Political Science falls under liberal arts, not science, so you would receive what again? Oh yeah, a BA in Political Science.

For a dude with 2 engineering degrees, all he does is prove that he was capable of regurgitating the information on those two subjects, but apparently doesn't know **** else.

No arguments about Dumbassery. I should note, though, that one can get either a B.S. or a B.A. in Political Science. Depends on the school and the course of study.

Once again, someone is demonstrating their inability to "look it up" rather than "pull it out", if you Grok my meaning.
