Good lord, do you read before you type?
Here’s my post you responded to, please highlight where i made any assertions relating to the reason this teacher was fired:
The logical fallacy of your own emotionally hyperbolic posts supersedes any you “perceive” others have made.
Where does one begin with such nonsense; I don't see any caps and what the hell does this have to do with my comments to Jallman?
Perhaps you need some help connecting the dots.
Although I appreciate your wordy diatribe, this does not remove the fact that you made a condescending arrogant post laughing at Akhbars "independence."
What is ironic is your response to me; as if you had anything that actually was supportive of your insulting condescension towards Akhbar which had NOTHING to do with the thread topic.
Based on our previous debates, the notion that you are NOT a Liberal requires the willing suspension of disbelief. Perhaps your own notions about what is a "moderate" are what confuse you and not my assertion that yours is more laughable than your insults directed at Akhbar's independence?
As for trolling, let me use a perfect example of a trolling post:
What is more ironic is the hypocrisy of your own trolling behavior and you calling me a troll.
Your implications were clear no matter how much you try to backpedal out of them.
I suggest your tone change with a quickness if you intend to even front the idea that this is a civil conversation.
That is YOUR opinion. This debate is not about YOUR opinions about what should or should not be taught but rather how is his behavior anything remotely justifying getting fired?
This teacher clearly states that he didn't and wouldn't show Bush's either and based on student comments is relatively unbiased in his course teachings.
My kids get blathered with Liberal think in school all the time. Should those teachers get fired? How about teachers who teach the UNPROVED idea of man-caused Global Warming, should they be fired?
Nothing to do with the thread topic?? -- People who are blindly married to their political views -- JUST LIKE THE TEACHER.
O-OOOOHHHH!!! -- That thread topic...
Quote me and prove it. Find a representative sampling of my statements in posts on a variety of social/political issues and ARTICULATE why they appear to have an overall liberal leaning. That's how it works. Get it?
You just friggin' did it again. You completely ignore anything I said leading up to that in order to make your totally stupid insipid remark.
Why not post a counter-argument to the one I made about 'Independent' Scarecrow's lack of independent thought?
Can't you do that???
Again, prove me wrong about what I said, show me Scarecrow's objectivity and independence or stop making foolish troll-like statements.
BTW -- Threads have a life of their own -- Scarecrow didn't mind engaging in me questioning his independence, so for you to say it has nothing to do with the teacher is asinine and Trollish.
Drudge is such a partisan hack. At least Huff Post puts links right to the actual news story.
Which 'conservative' beliefs?
You got your religious social conservatives -- the real RINO's IMO.
And you got your fiscal Goldwater/Reagan old school conservatives. My type of conservatives.
Great -- give me Mitt Romney without the religion and I'm in 100%.
Cut the ties with the f-ing religious right and lets go to town!!!!
Edit: It was Reagan who opened the door to the Christian folks. Shame on him -- but I guess he felt he needed the votes.
The 'government teat' = socialized institutions. We have a few of those. Emergency services. Police departments. Public roads.
The banks and auto industry are government managed bankruptcies and lending. I don't like them. But they are temporary and therefore not socialism.
BTW -- when you start talking russian history, you ignore the fact that we have elections every two years which effect the political power make-up in DC.
No, what they are is biased and not very well-informed.
I can't say I think this is a good thing. But as long as the GOP continues to allow far-right social conservative to define a major part of their agenda and hyper-partisan pundits to be their voice... Then people are going to move away.
Right after the election there was all this 'right of center' talk. What happened to that? Newt and Rush call Sotomayor a racist--people outside the actual working-in-politics part of the party are ruining it IMO.
An overly partisan person would have no problem teaching for the last 8 years. But when the country changed and he didn't like it, he stopped being a teacher and became a GOP advocate that happen to work at a high school.
No, this guy is a piss poor history teacher. IMO.
Bush's inauguration didn't have historical significance of Obama's.
He didn't want to interrupt the class?? Because his lecture on how Bush was right on Iraq so much more relevant. What an ass! When history happens, it's a good idea to stop and watch. And a transcript of a speech is the best way to understand and evaluate a speech. How the heck did this guy get a teaching credential for History?
Like I said, those who can't do... He wants so bad to be Sean Hannity, but the only audience he can get is class of kids forced to listen to him.
Here’s one of you putting down Drudge and comparing it to the left wing extremist site called the Huffington Post.
I am going to post this again, because apparently you have missed it the other twenty times. I'll even bold the important parts for you.
Yes the teacher says he wouldn't show Bush's, but he could be lying, or he could be telling the truth. We don't know! That's the point
Can you show me some proof that the teacher is blindly married to his political views?Nothing to do with the thread topic?? -- People who are blindly married to their political views -- JUST LIKE THE TEACHER.
O-OOOOHHHH!!! -- That thread topic...
Okay, let's go point by point.
I don't like Druge and I noticed that Huff Post has links to the stories.
1)How does that make me left of center? A Democrat?
2)Support with evidence that Huff Post is 'extreme' left. (dis oughta be good) Do they advocate anarchy or violence against conservatives?
Answer those two, and we'll move on to the next point.
Just FYI -- The only party I've ever been registered with is the Republican party. I'm currently registered as an Independent. The Nov. election was the first election in my lifetime where, IMO, we weren't forced to choose between the lesser of two evils. We had two bright, capable candidates with interesting backgrounds. I was really looking forward the debates. I was really looking forward to listening to what they both had to say. Then Palin joined the Republican ticket. I listened to her speak, watched her interviews, read about her in different sources, and ultimately came to the conclusion that she terribly under-qualified for national office. I am not the only right of center person who felt that way.
Can you show me some proof that the teacher is blindly married to his political views?
I can play this annoyingly retarded liberal game too.... :2razz:
I think the whole point here is that there isn't any evidence either way. If anything, the teacher isn't blindly married to his idealogy as much as it is that he uses it to support his persecution complex.
In other words, you voted for Obama. Thank you for clarifying your REAL positions for us.
Carry on! :2wave:
Fine, run away from a debate. I clarified my position and you can't even comment intelligently on it.
How does not believing Sara Palin was qualified for national office make me a leftist?? Answer the question or admit you don't really know me yet.
You don't want to back up your post point-by-point, then don't open your mouth in the first place. Be a man and have the mods delete it.
There's only one way to describe where an attempt at serious discussion with that one will go...
:2brickwal
Ventura County??:stars:
That... I can agree with.
Yeah, Jallman is definately the first to post that. The rest of us haven't been saying the exact same thing over and over again.
No, its because Jallman has the integrity to be consistent on this issue.
While those on this tree barking that "WE DON'T KNOW THE OTHER SIDE!" are the same ones barking up their respective partisan tree, not knowing the other side, and making their partisan assumptions on other topics without giving the benefit of not knowing the other side, and not caring due to their partisan nature.

Unfortunately, Sarah Palin was the most qualified of the four principal candidates.
The Messiah was the least qualified.
Happy?

To provide as little debate as possible so that I don't have to read one of your longer responses:
Palin=no national experience
Obama=a tiny amount of senate experience
Biden and McCain=great deal of senate experience
All of this makes Palin at least less qualified than Biden or McCain. Amusing that only Conservatives call Obama the Messiah, and a couple crazy nutzo liberals.
Not getting too far off topic, but I believe Scarecrow AKHBAR was speaking of Palin's experience as an Executive branch head.

Qualifications extend beyond the number of days in a low pressure governor's job. Capability and competence are what is valued in a presidential candidate, and you cannot claim that Palin qualifies for either of these. Fortunately, The Messiah does qualify.
