Yes, I understand Congress has its problems as well. And of course Stone wouldn't be an issue if he wasn't affiliated with Trump because he wouldn't have committed crimes on behalf of Trump that got him convicted in the first place, and Trump wouldn't be complaining about his sentence and pardoning kindred spirits for similar offenses. The problem is not just that they 'know' each other, but that they've conspired together.
Regardless of what you want to believe, these so called crimes don't resonate with the American people but people like you continue to magnify them to divert from actually discussing real issues.
The polling says otherwise. Yes, people are concerned with other issues, but the corruption of the president is an issue itself. Half the country does vote for other people you know, so I don't know where this 'doesn't resonate' business comes from. It doesn't resonate with Trump supporters, I'll give you that.
What poll, the one that registers 10 polls saying 56% approve of the Job Trump is doing on the economy? Corruption of the President isn't being seen by the American electorate just radicals who want to run from the issues. What doesn't resonate with you are the results and results matter, not your perception and 24/7 anti Trump rhetoric
Again stop talking about "me." It adds nothing to the debate. Hyperbole has its uses but repeating "24/7" is getting a little tired. I stop by these forums a few times a day to drop a comment just like the rest of us.
Now on topic please.: you do have a point that over 50% are happy with 'the economy' (depending on the polls) but as the FiveThirtyEight poll aggregate I posted earlier shows, about 50% as well think the president is guilty of wrongdoing. That suggests some overlap and it suggests voters are able to separate the two in their minds.
It is true that this election will be fought on economics and incumbency to a large degree, but also will be a referendum on the president's conduct in office, as the last midterms were, when things were really no different.
You really think that the American people are going to vote based upon perceived wrong doing? How naïve are you? People will always vote their own self interest and that is putting food on the table, clothes on their back, and a roof over their head as they should
Not sure what is wrong with the left but there is no reason to support anyone on the Democratic ticket, results matter
Well, there are a lot of people who think that having a more honest candidate is in their self-interest. And remember 3 million more voters in the last election thought that the other candidate was in their self-interest. Trump's not the only one who can keep the economy afloat (and he may yet sink it); voters on the other side won't go running to someone they see as deeply corrupt just because the Dow is up. As much as people worry about their pocketbooks they see things like the president interfering in the Justice Department as a potential attack on freedom. They value that too.
Name for me one of the Democratic Candidates whose policies would keep the economy afloat?
Though given the thread topic this is a deflection, most of them seem to be viable. None of them looks like they'd do any worse than what's going on now so it will stay 'afloat,' despite whatever bumps or crashes come down the road due to an overbought market and reduced infrastructure spending due to tax cuts. Some may actually improve it: if Sanders or Warren get their way more people at the lower end will have spending power and that spending will stimulate growth.
You were right earlier that swing voters, particularly those who are economically struggling and see a way out through Bernie or Trump's promises, may be less inclined to care about Trump's political and legal scandals and more worried about their own bottom lines. But it is also true that those who are financially secure or have a steady income have the 'luxury' of worrying about other problems on the horizon, such as presidential corruption and judicial overreach. The polls show people also care about that in Trump's case.
You have a point that
So you honestly believe the rich people will let the left take all their income
