Criminal Probe Opened Into John Bolton’s Book

“The Justice Department has opened a criminal investigation into whether President Trump’s former national security adviser John Bolton unlawfully disclosed classified information when he published a memoir this summer, a case that the department opened after it failed to stop the book’s publication this summer,” the New York Times reports.

“The department has convened a grand jury and subpoenaed for communications records from Simon & Schuster, which published Mr. Bolton’s memoir, The Room Where It Happened, a highly unflattering account of his 17 months working in the Trump administration.”

I'm pretty sure the book had to be reviewed by the white house before it was released.

No love lost for Bolton, but the President using the DOJ to persecute his political enemies is bad. On the Fascism Doomsday Clock, we're one minute away from the DOJ arresting Biden, either before election or between November and January if Biden wins.

Well the autocracy, it's what the people want, right? Seems a LOT around here do. I have a VERY strong feeling, if the rigging works, the buyer's remorse will come on very quickly as Social Security shutters, ACA, perhaps medicare/medicaid is ended, and other wonderful campaign promises are fulfilled. Too late then though.

Bolton didn't play by the rules. He was warned and knew the consequences. Making millions was more important to him.

This story has been kind of phenomenal. Bolton does just enough damage to Trump to create noise, Trump ****s him over and his book anyway.

Two assholes eating each other alive. Praise Allah.

It was under review by the WH, but Bolton didn't wait for the "all clear".
