The original allegation was one of several in a letter from J. Russell George, the inspector general who oversees the IRS, to Grassley. For the first time, George revealed claims that IRS officials targeted political candidates for audits, and that, separately, donor or candidate tax information was improperly accessed or disclosed.
To date, the IRS scandal has focused mainly on the agency's practice of targeting conservative groups for additional scrutiny as they applied for nonprofit status.
And for the first time, the letter also raised questions about the Justice Department's role in allegations of IRS misconduct.
In one case, George said in his letter, "we presented evidence of a willful unauthorized access to the Department of Justice, but the case was declined for prosecution."

It was just a matter of time, but now it looks clear that the IRS and Dept of Justice were in cahoots in these improper audits.

Not only did the IRS improperly audit conservative groups seeking nonprofit status, they were meddling in the records of donors and candidates as well. Again, the DoJ refused to prosecute the findings of the Inspector General.

Holder is a true scumbag. Now, did Obama know of Holder's exploits?

Really, do you need to actually ask? As the dirt continues to be dug up on all this, it's likely only a matter of a little more time.

Of course, it'll be all Trayvon all the time for the forseeable future from the Department of Media Deflection. But they can't control ALL media.

Exactly, they are too busy trying to persecute, I mean prosecute the innocent rather than going after their own misdeeds.

Who cares about the IRS scandal anymore? Trayvon martin was denied JUSTICE! Zimmerman wasn't found guilty. Stop EVERYTHING. We need to right this wrong right now.

Holder should start a new program. Fast and furious was good at arming nasty gangs of drug dealers to kill mexican citizens and fight off the law and order brigades in Mexico. Maybe this new program could arm the black panthers with state of the art military equipment, not just the guns you find at the store, but advanced stuff... and have them chase after zimmerman and kill a lot of white people in the meantime because they may get bored. After all, that's what the black panthers said, they themselves: If you want freedom, we gotta kill some white people. We gotta kill some of their babies!

This is their mission statement. Now of course, killing zimmerman is not technically killing whitey, but close enough.

Of course, I am just being in a semi-mocking statement. I wouldn't put it past Holder to do even the dumbest and most vile of actions. He has proven himself to have no respect for his office or his oath or anything. And he has also proven himself to be a complete idiot. I mean the race to the dumbest person on the planet is pretty close in the high offices of the government... but Holder is surely among the leaders.

Ain't it funny how the umpteen scandals have just been washed away by a "duh" verdict in Florida?

I've never seen the country in such disarray. Never. This is what Chicago politics looks like spread across the entire nation. It's ugly in a way that only old Russians could understand.

You have never seen america get swept up in some court case before? So that must mean you are so young you cannot remember casey anthony? Well, I guess we should let you know this is something you will see often. You might want to ask your parents about this because they have probably seen things like this happen after with people like OJ simpson, Marthat stewart, Jon Bonet Ramsay, Rodney king, Micheal jackson, and many others. This is not some plot by Obama, it is more of a way to sell media. Now that the trial is over we will have a couple more weeks of relatives and stuff doing the talk show rounds before it dies out like these things seem to do. After that the controversy will pop up occasionally when someone sees Jorge at a walmart or if a book comes out, but the US will move onto the next media superstorm.

Oh, and the IRS thing against Obama is still a load of crap. Try focusing on the NSA as that is still going on and is actually a more powerful thing than watergate.

Washed away? Isn't this thread evidence to the contrary?
