Scooter Libby's trial for perjury and obstruction of justice has now begun. What makes this interesting is that this will probably be the first time in US history that a vice president testifies in a criminal case. The case itself is going to be a very interesting one to follow. The White House says that no pardons are on the table at this time, but I am willing to make a bet that, if Libby is convicted, Bush will pardon him.
