Jury deliberations.

Since we did not have an immediate verdict.
Do you think a stealth juror got in?
More than one?

If there is, I am sure a note will be going out to the judge about a non cooperative juror.
But how long would that take? Or, if there is a stealth juror, how long would it take for them to cave to the evidence being shoved down their throat?

Re: Jury deliberations.

I was actually surprised that they went home so early. Made me wonder if they did have a verdict and just wanted to sleep on it.

I think the jurors are honoring the family of Trayvon Martin by taking their time before announcing a not guilty verdict. It would be very disrespectful to their child's memory to casually, quickly, dismiss these charges and the jury would be highly criticized if they did. I think they wanted a night's rest to tackle it head on tomorrow and tomorrow you will have the verdict, probably shortly after lunch.

I seriously doubt that they would keep themselves sequestered over such a thing.

That alone, is far more believable.

One more night in sequestration is nothing to them now.

Nice picture of yourself.
Do you know if there is none?
Do you know if there isn't?
No, but due the seriousness of your orphan charge I believe there needs to be a full Senate inquiry.

Until such time as it is proven that there is one it is nothing more than a conspiracy theory to say that there is.

*man...did I really just have to defend something that spanky posted? **runs to take a shower***

Um....something just came into my mind....

What if the jury had come to a verdict when they had that weird question, but the judge asked them to wait until tomorrow so she can inform law enforcement to be ready?

You better take a shower.

The fact is, that stealth jurors did try to get on the jury.
So it is not far from reality to suggest that one or more may have.

And as asked as a question, which of course is based on speculation and not absolutes.
The question is still valid because of what we know, that stealth jurors did try to get on the jury.

Possible. However, given Judge Nelson penchant for "going straight by the book", I'd have doubts.

Personal opinion here. I like the fact the jury asked for EVIDENCE. That tells me they are looking at fact, not yelling, screaming, and "these SKITTLES ........that he didn't even STEAL!!" <SLAM!!! on the table>

I don't read anything more into the ending of deliberations other than it's Friday night, been a long trial, been in sequestration, let's get some rest.

Recall, wasn't today the first time in the trial when Judge Nelson asked the jury if they wanted to continue or have lunch first, they said lunch. Unless I'm wrong every other time in this trial the Judge gave them the choice, they've chosen continue!! I believe they comprehend the magnitude of their decision. I believe they want to be well rested, think it through and will have a verdict tomorrow.

Yep. It was a man, I think, who they found on some online blog or message board who was vehemently anti-zimmerman.

Since I'd never heard the term before, I curiously looked it up:

SANFORD, Fla. - A potential juror who was dismissed during jury selection in the George Zimmerman murder trial has filed a formal complaint, saying his civil rights were violated by lead defense attorney Mark O'Mara. Jerry Counelis was escorted from the Seminole County Courthouse on Friday, two days after being dismissed as a prospective juror. Later Friday, O'Mara accused Counelis of being a "stealth juror" and said Counelis potentially could have tainted the jury pool.

Re: Jury deliberations.

Thank you for answering.
He was the one caught lying about it.
Others were dismissed after being confronted with their online posts. They admitted to them. So even though they were trying to get on, they admitted to their bias and were dismissed.
Which is unlike the guy who lied about it.

They watched TV for three-and-a-half hours. They went home, because the decision to send Zimmerman to prison has already been decided.

The script has a not guilty verdict.

The script they want you to see. The actual script has guilty. Probably not murder 2, but definitely guilty.

If the jury does, by some crazy chance, bring back an acquittal, one of two things will happen--or both: the judge will overturn their verdict and issue a guilty verdict, in which case I believe she'll go for all the marbles and hit him with murder 2 and/or, the juror's identities will be exposed, along with their addresses, telephone numbers, etc. and their lives will be in danger and all six of those ladies know it.

That's interesting...because the only television station they're allowed to watch is a home shopping station. Just read that today. Slowly but surely, channels were eliminated from their list of approved stations until only that one was left.

Once you have that verdict you just want the hell out of the courtroom. You have had enough of it. You can finally talk to your family and friends about the trial. Everyone here has the priviledge to go over and over every word spoken. But on the jury you wait till deliberation before you even talk among yourselves about the trial. One is so tightly wound after that experience that it will takes days to become normal again.

I could see the jury deliberation going on to Sunday at least. Just as the jury is a sampling of us, it would be no surprize you have one side for and one side against a guilty charge. And just as us, nobody is going to change their mind any time soon. It very well could end up as a hung jury.
