Probably falls in the Beto O'rourke camp. Imagine these two trying to campaign against President Trump.

I have no idea what you mean by that. In reality, the gulf between O'Rourke and Castro is about as wide as the Grand Canyon. Beto is emerging as a real contender for the 2020 nomination while Castro is a non-entity who will fall early by the wayside.

Dennis Rodman should make a serious run as a democrat. He has the foreign relations down pat, and knows when to keep his mouth shut around the cameras.

Dont you have to win to be considered a contender?

Obama never happens if he didnt win the senate

O'Rourke has won several election to Congress.

I would remind you of a man named Abraham Lincoln who lost a Senate race to an incumbent and then was elected President of the USA just two years later in the next election cycle. No doubt some people felt he needed to win something also.

Don't laugh!

People laughed when an undistinguished Senator announced his candidacy for the 2008 Democratic nomination.

Who knows?

Probably an O'Rourke - Castro (or Castro - O'Rourke) ticket could easily beat whoever the Republican candidate is.

What's not to like?

Women will swoon over Beto (as they did over Barack).

Diversity advocates will be wild for Julian.

Maybe he can pair up with billionaire Mark Cuban and they could have the Cuban-Castro ticket.
:lamo

Not as good, perhaps, as the Anthony Weiner and Eric Holder Weiner-Holder ticket I will grant, but hilarious all the way around anyhow.

But seriously, especially by shallow Democratic standards [ and with the recent exception of the fat lady, the Hildebeast ], Castro will have to grow older and much more distinguished looking to be electable to that office. As Joe Lieberman example illustrates, even nice guys have to have more than a decent appearance at the WH level.

It really isn't going to matter to me what Dem wins the nomination. They're likely to nominate the closest person they can find who's as diametrically different from Trump as is possible to be.

What difference does either donkey make in the coming election. The victor will not necessarily be the one with the best ideas but the one with the best strategy, whether legal or otherwise.
