This could be fun.

If the prosecution gets busted for not disclosing stuff again the judge is going to be VERY unhappy with them.

The judge found a Brady Violation by the prosecution.

Judge Barry Williams was visibly angry in the Baltimore court but he did not dismiss the charges against police officer Caesar Goodson, as his attorneys had requested. Williams is giving prosecutors until Monday to disclose any other relevant evidence they have withheld. Goodson was the driver of the van during the arrest of Gray, 25, last year.

Goodson's attorneys have argued that prosecutors withheld statements made last year by Donta Allen, a key witness. Allen was picked up by the Baltimore police van after Gray.

In his original statement to police in April last year, Allen said he heard loud banging coming from Gray's side of the vehicle. He gave a similar statement in a separate interview a month later, but the state never turned it over as evidence to defense attorneys. Judge Williams found today that prosecutors committed a so-called Brady Violation because Allen's May 2015 statement was deemed exculpatory evidence and it's the state's duty to divulge this information to the defense.

If he is found not-guilty, I would hope the prosecution drops the charges on the remaining cases. This is the problem with a prosecutor making decisions based on mob demands and not based on the actual law. This case will be nearly impossible for the prosecution to prove, unless they have actual evidence of a "rough ride".

This Officer has the most severe charges laid. If found not guilty, the rest of the cases are lost and should be withdrawn.
The DA in these cases rushed to lay charges. That is crystal clear.

Officer Caesar Goodson, facing the most serious charges in death of Freddie Gray, heads to trial - Baltimore Sun

Officer Caesar R. Goodson Jr. drove the van in which the medical examiner ruled that the 25-year-old West Baltimore man suffered a fatal spinal injury in April 2015. Alone among the six Baltimore officers accused in Gray's arrest and death, he has been charged with murder.

Goodson, 46, is expected to elect a jury trial this week on charges that include what's known as depraved-heart murder, a second-degree charge that carries a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison.

One would figure that the Nifong ordeal would have been enough to make prosecutors think twice about pandering to popular demand but I guess not.
