Being an originalist does NOT MEAN that law is to be judged against the original document without regard to the Amendments. FFS...the FOUNDERS of the Constitution both put in place the mechanism to change the Constitution AND actually added to it within a few years of its passage.

Being an 'originalist' means you judge law against the Constitution...including its Amendments...without trying to to fabricate arguments to make them fit. In other words...marriage...which is never found in the Constitution and should thus be a State issue as per the 10th Amendment should not have been tortured into federal context by misuse of the 14th Amendment.

Not surprisingly, the same people that demonstrate they dont understand "originalist" are also the same people that run around making their inane claims about the US government policies and "socialism".

The sole intent of the Constitution is to "establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty". Article 1, Section 8 addresses the Armed Forces. For you to actually believe the Air Force wouldnt be included in that as a component of the Armed Forces as flight and air power was established must mean you are actually stupid enough to believe your freedom of speech is limited to typeset printing presses, soap boxes in town squares, and written word in ink and quill pen.
