Jorge Bush is poised to sign the US-Mexico Totalization agreement allowing illegal aliens to get Social Security benefits after only 18 MONTHS of ILLEGAL employment in the U.S., further burdening a system on the brink of collapse.

U.S. citizens, of course, must show 10 years, or 40 quarters of job history, to collect benefits.

Today in Investor's Business Daily stock analysis and business news

The agreement, which awaits President Bush's signature, can take effect without Congressional approval. All the Democratic Congress has to do is nothing. It doesn't have to vote to approve it — it has only 60 days to disapprove it, which isn't likely because they likely support allowing it to become law. Democratic pandering.

It boggles my mind what this AZZWIPE of a President continues to do to pander to the Latino community.

His name is George.

 This is complete bullshit. These politicians are crying 'homeland security' while everyday allowing thousands to get into this country by just walking into it and now this! Not only am I paying out of every single paycheck to a system that I am not even sure will be there when I need it but I am going to have to pay people who aren't even contributing to it.
These people are more concerned about votes and money than your safety and now apparantely your hard earned money.

Well, Perderse, I started calling him Jorge when he started pandering to illegal aliens on an almost daily basis.

So are all illegal immigrants named Jorge? Or is that another shot at the Mexican community.

I agree with you on this one. We shouldn't be doing this. On immigration, I almost always agree with the conservative right - but it's the racist like you that make me question that.

It is a shot at a President that will do anything to pander to the legal Hispanic community as well as the illegal alien community for their votes. Got that? The President is getting ready to sign an agreement that will deal a death knoll to the social security trust fund and you make some moronic comment about racism? Liberals like you are part of the problem.

The agreement would drain more billions from a system with a $14 trillion liability and assets of only $3.5 trillion.

Totalization agreements are common — the U.S. has them with 20 countries. And their goal is legitimate — to avoid double taxation when employers assign their employees to work temporarily in another country. Totalization was not designed or intended to cover millions of illegals sneaking past the U.S. Border Patrol from what is a borderline Third World country.

Workers from those 20 countries come here with employer documents verifying they are authorized to work here. Nearly all these countries are on an economic and industrial par with the U.S. And the numbers are limited. Our agreement with the U.K. covers just over 2,000 people.

Why is calling him Jorge in any way differant from calling him George, aside from being wrong?

Makes you sound ignorant.

I've already told you. No comment on the topic of the thread?

High School? Jr. High School?

For what it's worth, I thought it was hilarious and I totally got it...:2wave:

Well, for someone planning to make Mexico and the USA (along with Canada) into one happy country ( ) this isn't such a major surprise. I, like most Americans who aren't brainwashed, believe that this is absolute crap and needs to stop immediately. I wonder how long it will take the real conservatives to put up or shut up about immigration - tell Bush you won't take this kind of crap anymore or stop complaining that your country and your jobs are being stolen by illegal aliens. Despite my normally radical liberal leanings, I have full support for the conservative opinion on this one - build a wall and man it with the military, the part of the military armed with weapons they know how to and can use. Of course a warning should be given first, but if the would-be illegal immigrant decides to ignore the warnings, I've got no great trouble with the border guards using those weapons, to be honest.
My best wishes go out to the true Americans in the Minutemen organization that tries its best to force the authories to react to this wanton invasion of our once-great nation.

The North American Union is coming, that is not a surprise. But with this, they can more easily destroy SS. The destruction can then be blamed upon Mexicans coming across the border. Race riots instead of impeachment, must sound pretty good for the elite douchebags running this nation into the ground.

My case in point. I don't know why I ever agree with you guys...

Are you sure that you're a radical liberal? I guess there is a little overlapping in liberals and conservatives depending on the subject. You think that some conservatives aren't telling Bush we aren't going to take his crap anymore? You think that Bush actually listens? Arguably one of the worst and most devisive Presidents this country has had, he seems to be stubornly stuck on his messianic mission of creating a North American Union, whether we want it or not.

He is even willing to ruin the Repubican party if he could only achieve this goal.

Taxation Without Representation

Why does it bother you to be against giving social security benefits to illegals?

The Title II programs are insurance against poverty and are essential to the protection of people with disabilities. The programs are unique in providing benefits to multiple beneficiaries and across multiple generations under coverage earned by a single wage earner's contributions.

Totalization of Social Security is not uncommon; but, totalization with Mexico has, by all professional opinions, been deemed an act of American stupidity.

perhaps I misread. I disagree with giving social secrity to illegal immigrants.

Inheritance Is Not Community Property

American stupidity seems to be coming to be the NORM rather than the exception.
Workers are vested in the US Social Security System after ten years, Type II claims are available after 18 months.
Workers are vested in the Mexican Social Security System after 24 years and are paid their inputs plus accrued interest.

Yet, immigrant workers are given an option to invest in the US social security system OR the social security system of their national origin. Who would choose the Mexican system over the US system?

Why not force all workers to invest in the SS of their national origin and wherever they end up in their final days, receive benefits from that social security system?
And, if or when a person becomes a citizen of another country, then allow a negotiation of benefits transfer between systems.

It does not seem very difficult to escape deportation from the US for 10 years.
And these low income earners are an annual financial burden to the US taxpayer, statistically into the future taking out far more than they contribute.

Are you sure that you're a radical liberal?
Generally, but in the more classical sense of liberals that actually believe in freedom. Not the neo-liberals, a la Democrats, who are against some of our most fundamental freedoms in this country (like the right to bear arms, free speech and equality).
Now on some issues like this one, I am quite a conservative and I'll admit it.

I guess there is a little overlapping in liberals and conservatives depending on the subject. You think that some conservatives aren't telling Bush we aren't going to take his crap anymore?
Oh, I know many are, but I'll bet most of them voted Republican anyway - even though they ought be voting for a party that represents their views.
You think that Bush actually listens?
Of course not. He has a very long running rule of not listening to sound advice.
Arguably one of the worst and most devisive Presidents this country has had, he seems to be stubornly stuck on his messianic mission of creating a North American Union, whether we want it or not.
No kidding. He's a globalist like most of the powerful people in this country sadly are.

He is even willing to ruin the Repubican party if he could only achieve this goal.
Probably because he knows the Dems will greet him with open arms, considering his policies on many issues ;)

The Democratic leadership thinks Bush is the Anti Christ. But, I do think that Bush and the Democratic leadership can get touchy, feely on the issue of amnesty. The Dems for the votes and Bush for his dream of a NAU.

I was just kidding, but Bush does seem to swing to the so-called "left" on plenty of issues (like the size of government, gun-grabbing, internationalism, and, obviously, immigration).
