McCain Quits Post at College for the Deaf

WASHINGTON, Nov. 8 (AP) — Senator John McCain has resigned from the board of trustees of Gallaudet University, the world’s premier university for the deaf, after disagreeing with its decision to revoke the appointment of its incoming president, a university spokeswoman said.

The chairwoman of the Gallaudet University board, Brenda Jo Brueggemann, has also resigned, the spokeswoman, Mercy Coogan, said.

Mr. McCain, an Arizona Republican, wrote to outgoing President I. King Jordan on Monday, describing the board’s decision as unfair, Ms. Coogan said.

So he can resign as a sign of protest at a university with whom he disagrees on ousting the president of the university, but he caves in to the Bush administration and allows the United States to torture individuals. Where the hell are his priorities? I really hope he does NOT get the Republicans nomination. The thought of this loser being president is repulsive to me.

Up until this year or last, McCain was adamant about not running for president ever... I'm sure that was supposed to be a joke too.

The more I listen to McCain, the more I think he is a lying sack of s.hit! 70% of this country wants us out of Iraq, and he wants to put more troops on the ground. Whatever the f.uck that means! However, his statement does show that his allegance is not with the American people.
