John Kerry Makes Historic Visit To Hiroshima Memorial

I have better things to do with my time than sit a computer debating

I guess that means that this was your last post here... as this is a "Debate" forum... bye.

Big deal.

Over 70 years after the fact...so what?

A tad late, don't you think?

By the way, for the record, the fire bombing of Tokyo (March 9/10, 1945) using conventional bombs killed far more people in one night then the bombing of Hiroshima. Some say more then Hiroshima and Nagasaki combined.

This notion that many people seem to have that the bombing's of Hiroshima and Nagasaki with atomic bombs are so incredibly horrific (which they were, of course) whilst ignoring the conventional fire bombings of Tokyo, Hamburg, Dresden, etc. is strange.
All were incredibly horrific.

Condemn Truman for authorizing the a-bomb drops but praise FDR and Churchill for seemingly being fine with fire bombing Tokyo (and lots of other Japanese cities), Hamburg and Dresden for no other reason then to deliberately burn and suffocate as many civilians as possible?
Either condemn them all or don't. But Truman was no worse (or better) then the other two in this regard, IMO.
