America owes a debt of gratitude to John Boehner who came clean on yesterday's edition of ABC's "This Week" and put himself on record as agreeing with President Obama that the USA does not have an immediate debt crisis.

"Better day's are coming." ~ But not for today's out of touch, running out of time, GOP.

Yes the USA does have a debt problem which needs to be dealt with, but we are not facing an imminent crisis worthy of draconian austerity measures. Some of the people in Washington, DC need to calm down before they throw the baby out with the bath water. And that is not a joke.

Where "money" is being spent, adding to the debt, is more of an issue than the debt, I would agree...

What would be considered a crisis? How far do we let it go?

They used to say 90% of GDP was the threshold that would stunt economic growth. That was until some college whiz discovered that economy can still grow at 2% annually at even at higher debt ratios than that. As long as the economy is growing the debt really isn't a problem.

So when the government does things to slow the economy, like sequestors, massive layoffs and threatening to shut down the government, then we have to worry.
