Joe Manchin’s elusive hunt for a pony named ‘bipartisanship’

Personally, I view Manchin as a 'Democrat' of convenience. Who are the most conservative-voting Democrat Senators in Congress?

#1 Joe Manchin (D/WV). #2 Krysten Sinema (D/AZ). -- By no coincidence, these two "Democrat" Senators both favor preserving the filibuster for Mitch McConnell and the obstructionist GOP.

Manchin is living in a dream world. Republicans know how to do one thing well, and that's to stop any legislation that's not far-right.

If Manchin can successfully lobby a few Republican Senators to get on board with the infrastructure bill without severely watering down the corporate income tax increase, I might change my mind.

I can only hope that when R solidarity on all legislation is shown, Sen. Manchin will put his constituents in front of a Senate rule.
