Joe Leiberman

The above remains to be seen.

It would be the utmost stupidity for the US and Allies to unilaterally withdraw leaving Iraq in the throes of a civil war, the picture that would give those few nations that still trust us, would be that when the going gets tough, the US gets out.
That is not what those of our friendly allies would wish to hear.

Correction.

While they ARE in a civil war. The civil war is going to happen whether we are there or not. Its ridiculous to say that our mere presence in the country is going to stop Shi'ites from wanting to kill Sunnis, or Sunnis from wanting to kill Shi'ites.

Other than that, we will see how much the additional troops actually help. Im skeptical, but I will withhold further judgment until this thing works itself out.

I just saw Joe Leiberman being interviewed.........I love seeing that big (I) next to his name........It really has to torque the jaws of the democrats and Liberals who stabbed him in the back.........

It thrills me to see the big "I" next to Loserman's name. No matter what he says, Joe's not a Dem anymore.

See ya!

I don't know how that can be........He just might make the senate 50-50 with the deciding vote by the VP on a lot of issues..........

Because Domestic Issues don't matter anymore.
America is all about Iraq.

How about you move to Iraq, since Iraq seems to be the only issue you care about...

Unlike you who is having his butt protected by this administration I worry about the war in Iraq and on Terror.................Again it seems the war in Iraq and the loss of American lives there does not phase you and your claim to be an Iraq Vet......... Strange....

You done it again Caine, as usual your words betray you........

God Bless the Commander in Chief, our brave troops in harms way in Iraq and the USA........

LOL..... This post is garbage!

You made the statement that the only issue that comes out of the Senate that matters is Iraq.
Therefore, To you, the problems that arise outside of the conflict in Iraq that affect American must not matter very much. How very un-american of you to ignore America's Problems because you are so focused on Iraq.

However, I never stated that the problems in Iraq do not trouble me. But I wanted to point out that Iraq is not the only problem facing America today. Obviously, your so wrapped up in Iraq, that you not only ignored the rest of America's problems with your first post that I responded to, but you ignored me reminding you that America has problems of her own outside of Iraq as well.

America must not be very important to you Mr. Pride. Thus, I say, Why don't you just move to Iraq????

Why Do I always have to break down the conversation like this??? Oh yeah, cause you get confused easily.

Caine...you've been promising a new sig for a while now without delivering...promises without delivery, a hallmark of the liberal left...are you having a hard time deciding on which adjectives to put in your sig line? Might I suggest "myrmadon", "idiot", "sheeple", et al.

BubbaBob

Whether like him or not we all have to agree on the point that Leiberman could very easily be the most powerful senator in the Senate.....If Leiberman were to caucas with Republicans on any issue then the senate would be divided in a 50-50 split with the VP having the deciding vote.....

It should be fun to watch.....

Might I suggest you stay on topic?

This would have been better served with a PM.

Yeah Navy, not only did Lieberman's cohorts stab him in back, but his own former best buddy-- junior senator Chris Dodd of Connecticut had supported the other Democratic candidate in the state's runoff. And now Chris Dodd (Ted Kennedy's drinking buddy) is going to run for president. The only thing that could top this would be for Teddy to announce plans for another run at the presidency.

LOL... Go back and re-read this entire thread, or go back to high school and take a basic government class all over again.

I think you missed the part where THE PEOPLE (in this case the registered democrats of Connecticut) chose the other guy over Lieberman. What was the democratic party supposed to do? Support the person that their constituents did not wish to represent them? Thats stupid. Its not what the fellow democrat senators want... its what the people want.
The senator represents the people of his state, not his fellow party senators

***You have the right to take my message out of context--anytime your heart desires.

***Lieberman was picked as veep running mate for Algore's presidential run in 2000. So Lieberman's constituents took in more than just the state of Connecticut. Lieberman has been a long running (tenured) senator of the Democratic Party for a very long time. Its not only the upstart rookie from Connecticut that the people favored of Joe--but the majority of the Democratic leaders nationwide had also given poor Joe the stiff finger, thus his need to run as an Independent.

The senator represents the people of his state, not his fellow party senators

***Thanks for making my point: Democratic senators look upon Joe as a turncoat because he supports Bush and his war policies. Welcome to politics..Democ-RATs style.

They seem to conveniently forget that the Republicans dumped on their own candidate, Republican Alan Schlesinger, to vote for Lieberman.

Jesus Christ! My entire post went right over your head.

Joe's fellow Democrats in the Senate HAD to support Lamont. He was elected to run for the Democratic Chair over Lieberman by THE DEMOCRATS OF CONNECTICUT!

Yet you conveniently want to make it out as if somehow its the fault of the dem senators, when it has nothing to do with that, and everything to do with the Liberals of Connecticut. They are the ones you need to blame if you want to point the finger at someone.

But no, its never the fault of the people who voted. Its always the fault of those who had absolutely nothing to do with it.

***No it didn't, I have an enormous head.

***Why was it that his fellow senators had to support Lamont? Wasn't it because Joe was in bed with Bush on the war? Are you saying the Democratic chair had the rookie's name on it-- over that of the tenured Lieberman?

***I'm not saying that its anyone's fault; I'm saying the Democratic flip-flopping of throwing out the old for a chance at the new is very telling of the loyalty (or lack thereof) in the Democratic Party. Perhaps the Dem loyalists will now contemplate throwing Hillary to the curb in lieu of a chance for Osama Hussein Barat Obama to represent their party.

Osama Hussein Barat Obama to represent their party.

This intentional misspelling of the man's name was all I needed to know deep down in my heart that you aren't worth the time to try to debate with.

***Good, now I can spend more time with those that can comprehend English. Btw, is your middle name Abel?
