He will probably work the COVID situation like Obama worked the economy he was left with. He will take a bad situation and fix it (and then the next administration will probably try to take credit)

Many Americans were going to die from Covid. With even the best response it was going to be a disease that had a huge impact on people's lives. What Trump is being blamed for is the excess deaths due to his initial lies about the seriousness of the pandemic, his mismanagement of response and his disinterest in leadership to fighting it.

When was Trump's last Covid press conference? Anyone even remember? Biden has had several and he's not even President yet.

Sorry but press conferences dont do anything to fight the virus. But if you insist on linking them, then Biden should stop holding them. The death rate has risen since he started holding them. But despite all the attacks on Trump, our death rate here is really no different from that of Europe. The only European country that did significantly better than we did is Germany, but even they are struggling with nearly 1000 deaths per day.

Poland 84
Portugal 80

I could go on but the point is that many European countries are doing much better than the US.

A good comparator is Canada which got hit about the same time. Their rate/100K is 46.9 which is less than half. Shows the value of quick and competent response.

You only mentioned Germany.

Italy and the UK have higher cases than the US but they are only two countries in Europe and also mucked up the response.

But now you're cherry picking a handful countries. Of the 44 countries in Europe most have done substantially better than the US.

You said in the post that started this that the US death rate was "really no different from that of Europe". That's simply not true unless you pick 3 or 4 of the 44 countries in Europe. Taken in totality Europe is blowing the US away in fighting this.
 
The vaccine rollout is hampered by Trump incompetence and neglect during the transition.

Will Biden do a better job fighting the virus than Trump did? I suspect any one of us here would do a better job, so yeah he probably will.

Good stats on Covid cases comparing Europe to the US:
America: 39,844,634
Europe: 28,291,217

Europe's population is 741 million, the US population is 328 million. So the US rate is more than twice that of Europe.
 
Obama handed Trump a rising economy that had regained pre-Great Recession economic levels, which was doing just fine, and Trump rate of economic rise hasn't been any better in any significant category than that under Obama. Now, Trump has put together a bomb, and will hand it to Biden with the fuse lit. The Trump COVID non-response has made the economy worse and inhibited recovery, and killed more people than would have a response that exhibited more care for the health and life of Americans. All the facts supporting the above claims have been posted ad infinitum.

Of course not!

Anything bad will be blamed on the nearest conveniently blamable Republican. Anything good will accrue to the credit of the Democrat-Socialist being discussed.

So all of the deaths will be pinned on Trump. Not the Chinese. Not the death camp building governor of New York. Not international travel. Not the nature of contagion of viruses. Only Trump.

Everything good, including the vaccine developed in Operation WARP Speed will be credited to Biden. It's already happening. It's really pretty funny to listen to NBC. They're idiots.

Anything they tell us is true is mandated (womandated?) to be true. Do not adjust anything else. Simply believe. You no longer need to think. You only need to believe.
