World Renown NASCAR Star, Jimmie Johnson, age 43, completed the Boston Marathon yesterday in under 3 Hours 10 minutes!

Wow!

I completed one marathon, the Tampa Bay Marathon (a much easier course than Boston) on December 15, 1985, at the age of 29. I didn't train. I came in just under 4 hours.

As a young man, I have hit the 5K mark at under 20 minutes ... and completed a 10K in under 42 minutes.

Jimmie Johnson's athletic prowess really impresses me! I tip my proverbial hat to the man! He has an amazing track record of winning! His marathon story has inspired me to walk at least a mile later today!

Today, age 62 and more than a bit overweight, maybe I could cover a single mile under 10 minutes after a one month training regimen.

Thank you Jimmie Johnson for the inspiration!

That is very impressive. I have run seven marathons and my best time was 3 hours and 15 minutes. That put me right at the 15% mark out of everyone who ran the Free Press Marathon in Detroit that year.

This is a very good time for Johnson. Well done!!!!!
