As a kid I loved that song... it had such power and depth to it and it all came from Jimmy Deans pure voice. And it told a story which I really loved listen to. You can really see Big John saving all those people.

To this day I cannot listen to it without tears welling up in my eyes. The line about the apple pie at the end just breaks me up.
