The question isn’t why Lindsey Graham is no longer considered a friend, but why was Lindsey Graham considered a friend in the first place. Why is Biden so close to people whose goal is the destruction Biden’s supposed friends and allies, including Obama and the Clintons.

Washington (CNN) Former second lady Jill Biden said Monday that she no longer considers herself a friend of Sen. Lindsey Graham, the Republican chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee who has sought investigations into her husband and stepson.
President Donald Trump's attempts to pressure Ukraine to investigate Hunter Biden and Joe Biden, his potential 2020 general election rival, are at the center of the President's impeachment trial. Trump and his allies have repeatedly made unfounded and false claims to allege that the Bidens acted corruptly in Ukraine.
Jill Biden told CNN's John Berman on "New Day" Monday that Graham's repeated attacks on her family have strained their relationship.

Probably because there was a time when politics wasn't as contentious as it was now, and R's & D's could be friends and colleagues, to be adults.

I don't think that exists any more, and may prove difficult to get back to.

Why do you find it difficult to fathom being friends across political lines? I mean, it's not surprising, but in your own estimation, why is it?

Well, since Graham was one of the leaders in all the attacks on Democrats — his friends, including Obama — it would appear that Biden is either too stupid or too slow to realize what was going on until Graham turned his fire on him. Only then was Graham no longer a friend.

Please. Graham was one of the leaders of the attacks on Obama and the Clintons. Joe Biden still thinks Mike Pence and Dick Cheney (who supposedly hoodwinked him into supporting the Iraq Invasion) are GOOD people. Biden’s political acumen is not inspiring.

I know, dude. People don't share your specific politics, so nothing but enemies do you see. It's not like that's limited only to other political parties for you, either.

I often wonder what Cindy McCain thinks of Graham now. Probably not much. He went from being her husband's ***** boy to being that freak Trump's butt boy.

Nonsense post is nonsense.

Nonsense post is nonsense.

You demonstrate it with your own words here, and by your behavior in various threads among those who favor Bernie's rivals in the Democratic primaries.

....because you are allowed to be friends with people who have different political views than yourself.

Even the most fanatical of Trump cultists are just dumb. They aren’t secretly demons.

Here is Lindsey Graham in 2016 getting all choked up with emotion and love talking about Joe Biden "If you can't admire Joe Biden as a person there's probably—you got a problem and you need to do some self-evaluation because what's not to like? ... AS GOOD A MAN AS GOD EVER CREATED", LOL.

Oh well. How times change, huh?

In retrospect, was Biden wise to be friends with Lindsey Graham?

The political, ideological or whatever are not what make the difference. Ginsburg and Scalia were great friends because they maintained their integrity unlike Graham.

Seriously, how many conservatives haven't been unfriended by a so-called liberal "friend" recently?

Liberals believe in diversity in everything but thought.

I don't know any conservatives who have been unfriended. Only Trumpists.

Seriously. When I have to turn to MSNBC to get Bill Kristol's opinion, it becomes obvious that friendships have changed.

All attacks are not created equal. Some are political, some are personal. Some are attacks on positions, some are not.

Neither here nor there; at issue is your inability to fathom having friends across ideological lines.

The Bidens are the best and only people to determine that. We have all had friendships that were good - until they turned bad. There is no evidence that this one did the Biden's any harm before , and may have accomplished some shared goals and some good times. Now Graham has turned and the friendship has died. Does not mean it was not valuable before. We cannot judge that from the outside.

Agreed. Joe Biden has always reached across the aisle. Trump happened.

Watching Joe speak now with Jill at his side. How Trumpists can say Joe Biden is dumb is beyond me, and Jill looks great at 68.

You know one now. I'm a conservative, I did not vote for Trump in 2016, and I was unfriended on Facebook by a friend of 30 years for suggesting Trump was not a Nazi during one of his TDS rants.

Why do you find it difficult to fathom being friends across political lines? I mean, it's not surprising, but in your own estimation, why is it?

Because of how polarizing politics is now, and why. I've never been friends with xenophobic, homophobic, misogynistic traitors before, and I'm not about to start now.

Do you still believe Trump is not a Nazi? What do you think he is? Because obviously, this **** ain't normal.
