Biden's approach on fossil fuels is pessimistic, regardless of this new ruling. In addition, Biden (among others) is sanctioning Russia's ability to sell oil and sanctions have already targeted the pipeline to Germany. Less fuel availability, without domestic production, will inevitably increase fuel costs. We are already seeing this across the United States .. really?

Democrats despise fossil fuel developments .. they are the ruling party now, and the mindset continues to spook futures on oil investments. Be real .. the Biden administration is "fueling" a portion of the increased costs you will pay at the pump.

RWers use pure speculation of Biden's attempts to determine what is causing high energy prices. The rest of the world sees the real answers (massive supply chain disruptions, reduced oil output due to extremely low prices during the pandemic, failure to keep up with demand as it returned).

Biden .. finally sanctioned Russian oil imports, and this should have been an immediate action so Putin's war chest wasn't being funded. Unfortunately for Biden, who is against domestic fossil fuel developments, this will only increase the cost of fuel, and dive deeper into American wallets as we are headed into a midterm election.

Executive Orders to prevent new oil lease permits ... aka .. domestic production. The United States has a massive dependency on foreign oil for fossil fuel development, when we could rely on our own resources (which Biden and Democrats are looking to minimize / shut down).

Expect to pay $5+ / gallon shortly based on where you live...

Should start a betting pool as to how high the national average per gallon goes. Sure looks like $10/gal. wouldn't be an unreasonable bet.

I thought we long ago left the industrial age? Oil is past tense because it's so dirty, if we had started to change to renewable energy thirty years ago we wouldn't even be discussing the price of oil.

All presidential spokesmen are spin doctors. Their job is to make the president look as good as possible. Gas prices has been rising for the last year and one half. Even before the Ukraine, the price of a gallon of gas has risen from around 2.10 to 3.30 prior to the Ukraine invasion here in Georgia. Today the price of a gallon has topped 4.20. Which is to say Psaki could be right about the 90-cent rise from the beginning of the Russian invasion. But that invasion doesn’t apply to the 1.20 rise prior to it. That could be laid at Biden and company’s feet.

Nationally, over a year ago one paid 2.50 on average for a gallon of gas. That rose to 3.60 prior to the invasion and is currently at 4.20. National, Psaki can blame 60 cents on the Ukraine invasion, but is responsible for 1.10 increase prior to it. Pity the poor folks in California, they reached 5.50 a gallon. But that’s their own fault with their national highest sales tax on gas, the state regulations for the type of special blend and other reasons the state has imposed. On second thought. No pity here.
