If you watch CNN, you know they employ a number of conservatives, many of whom are big Trump supporters if not outright apologists. One of the absolute best was former Reagan employee Jeffrey Lord. Apparently he was fired for using the epithet SIEG HEIL to the head of Media Matters in a tweet war.

CNN severs ties with Jeffrey Lord - Aug. 10, 2017

While Lord could be extremely aggravating for his pollyanna sunshine view of Trump, he was always pleasant and polite and rarely interrupted anyone like lots of talking heads do on these shows. He was a true gentleman.

Lord was an early supporter of Trump in the first primaries and then got the job when Trump won the election. And he deserved it for a job well done.

I am sorry to see him go.

Agreed
Who was that blonde on before the elction, my Lord she was aggravating?

Pretty soon only the GODS will be Kosher....

Boy bye! :2wave:

The fourth reich will not be the same without him

From the article. I kind of side with Lord in this.
He kept the door opened looks like, gracious in defeat.

Ahh...another career destroyed by Twitter.

The thing I always like about Lord was that he was the consulate gentleman no matter who got in his face or how hot the debate was. He had this angelic smile, the patience of Job, and a very courtly demeanor. I do not know if Trump paid him for his primary and general election work but he should have been worth his weight in gold.

Clearly he was loyal to the fuhrer

They sure do follow their leader huh?

Matt Schlapp is just as bad; Hewitt can be deceivingly dishonest; Steele is great but conservative on economics; Schmitt's a riot ;

I would say less to do with Twitter and more to do with a crazed overreaction. It is pretty clear his intent was not in saluting Hitler or used in an anti-Semitic way.

Yes....he meant it in the good way. LOL

Unless the person he was speaking to is Jewish, then I don't really see the issue.

Is it any different than those on the Left that call Trump a Fascist and use either that exact same slogan or say heil Hitler?

Yeah those people are wrong too. You are not offended by a Nazi salute unless you are jewish? Really? WOW

It depends on the context it was used. He was mocking that person as a Fascist, it wasn't him using the phrase in support of Hitler or Nazism which would have been offensive. I say unless that person was Jewish, because it would have been pretty insensitive to mock a Jewish person in that way.

I would say if it wasn't for Twitter he'd probably still have a job.

No it doesn't depend on the context. He sure got fired for it

So Sieg Heil is the new normal now ?

I would say if it wasn't for Twitter he'd probably still have a job.

True, but if he had made the same statement while on CNN he would have likely been fired as well. It wasn't the platform the got him fired but the content he put out. It is illogical to blame Twitter for his firing.
