Comments? I guess the political pressure in Japan led to this.

let the Japan bashing to begin...

As for political pressure... maybe... as it was not 100% inline with post WW2 policies and is still being debate if it was legal at all.

However it could have more to do with that security in the area they opperate will be handed over to the Iraqies from UK troops very soon.

Well, I will not bash Japan, at least they sent some help over. They did what the could to help out.

I wonder if I could find a chart showing to number of active troops in Iraq, and from which countries?

This is exactly what we want to happen and what the left has been screaming to happen NOW. They have been in a relatively stable part, they have primarily been engage in humanitarian task, it is being turned over the the Iraqi's now and they can leave.

What is the issue, isn't this suppose to be what happens?
