As I said above, this is a very dangerous way of thinking. They are taking the rule of law away from the justice system and putting it in the hands of the party.

Total BS. They aren’t taking anything away from Justice. They’re getting ready to refer a stack of names and evidence to them.

In the interim, they’ll conduct enough hearings, and present enough public evidence to lay out the entire scheme and the participants in the insurrection to full public view.

And they’ll have a long list of guilty parties who have tried to ignore congressional subpoenas in order to hide from scrutiny. It’s the only defense they have.

To get the absolute truth, I went to MSNBC to gather some info...

They said he, and others, gave "reconnaissance tours". Not just tours. Of course, you have some proof of that, right?

I mean, when you accuse a sitting Congressman of planning an attack on the Capitol, you need to show what you have that proves it was for recon for that attack.

His statement was that he didn't give any "reconnaissance tours". And, until we see some proof that he gave "reconnaissance tours", it looks like the committee is lying.

So, it's on them to show he gave a "reconnaissance tour". Not just a tour. When do you suppose they will show their proof?

Oh, they never entered the Capitol building, so that's going to be a tough one. I know the "committee" would never say anything like that without absolute proof. Maybe they just misplaced it?
I know, gotta defend the democracy hating anti Americans.

The truth is he lied about giving any tours, then when confronted with evidence he did, he changed his tune. Why did he lie?

"“A constituent family with young children meeting with their Member of Congress in the House office buildings is not a suspicious group or ‘reconnaissance tour.’ The family never entered the Capitol building,” Mr. Loudermilk wrote in a joint statement with Representative Rodney Davis of Illinois, the top Republican on the House Administration Committee, adding: “No place that the family went on the 5th was breached on the 6th, the family did not enter the Capitol grounds on the 6th, and no one in that family has been investigated or charged in connection to January 6th.”

So you believe this liar? :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Yes, also known as the enemy of the state.

Plus this added information given by Loudermilk when interviewed on a radio show.

But in the interview—given as the riot was winding down—Loudermilk made it clear that he met with people who were planning to protest on Jan. 6, and that he discussed how they wanted to be in the crowd that day to protest the results of the 2020 election.

“We actually had about a dozen people up here that wanted to come by and visit, we had them in our office, they definitely were peaceful people, people that we met at church. They were supporters of the president, they wanted to be up here as if it were another rally.”

The Daily Dot has reached out to Loudermilk’s office for comment. In a video statement released today, Loudermilk claims that the family was wearing red baseball caps, which is why he's being singled out by the committee, but also admits the family brought guests with them, which he had not previously mentioned.

It doesn't stand up to the slightest scrutiny. Of course, those pushing it give it no scrutiny at all.
It also doesn't mean that the suspected activity shouldn't be looked into. Rep Loudermilk has done too much zig zagging with what he's told so far. If he's squeaky clean, it'll show in the final report only proving that he likes zig zagging when he speaks.

Things get very dangerous when we start pointing fingers and trying to link up events as cause and effect.
Many criminals are caught in this manner. Investigations tend to roll this way. Relax.

It's kind of stupid to make the leap that if he showed some people around, then he must have been doing it to help people attack the building. Was he the only Congressman to show someone around? I doubt that. And, I thought I heard it was the day before? That makes it even more unlikely.

This is put out there for the low information, low IQ types that will swallow it without question. Evil needs those type of people.

It's not stupid at all.

Yep, a whole stack of names that the Democrat party came up with, to refer to the AG. Of course, Congress is a legislative body, they do not conduct criminal investigations. The DOJ has no grounds to call any of these people in for "questioning". But, the Democrat party did it for them, even though that's not their job. This whole thing stinks.

Completely irrelevant. There is no indication of anything that needs to be investigated. He's calling for them to look at the camera footage. Why do you think they are not doing that? That would clear things right up. That's probably why they aren't looking at it.

So, you mean the old, "If he's not guilty of anything, then why won't he come in and answer questions?" Right?

What stinks is an attack on our capitol and multiple coup plots never seen in America before. So yes, we need to know all we can about this. The DOJ can sort out who is criminal and who is just a democracy hating republican. It won't come soon enough.

Congress is not doing a criminal investigation, the DOJ is. Congress cannot be silent if they come across a federal crime. They are obligated to pass it to the DOJ. Been going on in America like this for many years.

You just don't like it because it's exposing so many of your hero's.

How many years is this Jan 6 Panel ala witch hunt going to go on?

Is it taking so long because of irrelevant digging or because of obstructionist witnesses or grandstanding by both sides of the aisle or a combination of all of the above?

But it's not taking that long. Watergate, over 3 years. Whitewater over 3 years. This committee intends to wrap up later this summer. Will end up being 13 or 14 months.

That is 10 to 12 months way too long!

As long as the Democrats are in control of the House and believe it to be a political advantage to them.

Nope. See comment above.

Pelosi's J6 Select Committee was never about finding the truth (other than their demanded political truth) nor to put into place measures to prevent similar in the future, it was intended designed for nothing more than to baselessly smear any differing political opinions and positions other than their own as insurrectionists, a dire threat to democracy suitable for DOJ classification as domestic terrorists and persecuted as such, when the reality is that the J6 riot which got out of hand, no more so than the so called 'mostly peaceful arsonists in previous riots which got out of control, for perceived political advantage. All that makes the J6 'Select Committee' little more than politically driven political Kabuki theater for the willful political propagandists accomplices media's cameras. A charade.

You do realize the members of the committee have other duties within the congress. They have interviewed nearly 1000 witnesses. They have had many, many people refuse their subpoenas and wind up in court. I can't imagine how they could be moving any faster unless the non-cooperators were cooperating.

And the bi-partisan commission would have been wrapped up last December if not for the republican obstruction. And it would have gone way better for the republicans.

Yes, they do. They have specific instructions to do just that. It’s in the authorization.

But you knew that already. Maybe you think you can fool some people with these idiotic claims, or maybe just get some likes by the rest of the trump disciples.

They're gathering facts and causes related to the 1/6/21 assault on our Capitol. Rep Loudermilk is being looked into by the Committee within their guidelines to do so . If something criminal is discovered, they could then make a referral to the DOJ.

So, you mean the old, "If he's not guilty of anything, then why won't he come in and answer questions?" Right?
It means that suspicions has been raised about Rep Loudermilk and the 1/6/21 assault on our Capitol. The Committee has every right to question any Congress Critter that may have information about that assault. They may also question others who may have information or played a role into that assault. Much like connecting dots.
