Many Presidents are referred to as president, so those who liked him will and those who did not will not.

Yes, like President Putin, President Zelensky, etc. Only idiots and deplorables will call the rattlesnake President Trump after future President Joe Biden is sworn in. When that happens, Trump will become a former President and must be referred to as such.

Only because the Trump Cult will forever be Trump Stupid.

Hillary Clinton was right when she called rattlesnake supporters "a basket of deplorables" on her campaign trail in 2016. Few people living in America are more deplorable than those idiots.

Trump was never decently customary, he deserves no deference to historical norms.
Well, I believe he will want that one tradition followed - the one where people always have to call him "Mr. President" because he's an insecure, narcissistic, knuckle-dragging, traitor with the with the depth of knowledge and maturity level of a 13 year-old.

He likes to be called "sir" He repeats people calling him that constantly. Maybe Sir Lies A Lot would be appropriate

He gets to be called President the same as any other FORMER President.

The point will be that people will see him as a vile destroyers of civility and incompetent president who put self interest, the desperation to be patronized and a lust for power and a promoter of divisiveness on every level and the damage maker to America's Standing in the world, and the man who lied which led to a viral spread while he ignored the infections and deaths of American people.
He can't escape that, along with the many other things that is alreayd recorded in the logs of History.

So many matters and issues that exist, not only did he ignore, he was not knowledgably and was too mania driven that he could not hire people who specialized and understood the emerging world changes and the emerging impacts of technology.

He had no strategy to deals with the massive and mounting debt.

He will be known as a man who had no understanding of the basis and value of The Preamble, and even less understanding of the value of the preamble to the origin, scope and purpose the preamble to the existence of The Constitutions Body of Text.

America has massive challenges and Trump promotes Divisiveness... which is more costly to the United States, than he have awareness to acknowledge. He ignored Education, and without advancements in Education people will not understand the emerging technology, nor will they know how to understand the necessity of regulatory management of it.

Trump's life has proven that he does not have the in-depth efficiency understanding of "Finances"... (certainly not to the level he tries to convince the public) he only has through collusion and the methodology of fleece and grab that his daddy taught him, which resulted in amassed massive debt, because he did not know how to balance debt to income ratio's. And each phase he has left bankruptcies that are massive damages to the financial system, which is already transferred back upon the people. It's why no Banks that were uninvolved in money washing would lend him any more money.

People always make a mistake when they put so much faithful devotion into one single man .

President, who understand the role of an efficient cabinet and respect for the system of Congressional structure and function.. is never about "one man", it is about a full functioning efficient and proficient Administration. it's precisely why the Obama Administration was successful in ways that Trump's Administration could never be nor could it ever become.

We watched, 4 yrs of Musical Chair with Trump trying to "Dictate"... and all we saw was on disaster spin after the next, repeated over and over and over with many indictments, jail time and chaos in every segment of American Governance an Civic and Civil Discord promoted on a daily basis...

American people who back and support Trump can lie to themselves all they want with their worship of "one man"... and time will see them suffer the consequence of their obsessions, as they fall further and further behind, and their agitations and anguish will spin them in circles that further diminish their ability to keep up with the times.

American saw not major Infrastructure project over the past 4 yrs, only and obsessive bigoted assault on immigrants from south of the border, and trade wars that did not improve nor did it bring invigoration to industrial growth in America... What resulted is we saw on of our most vital industrial systems damaged tremendously, "The Farming Industry", which is among the most critical industries in America. (much of which is dependent on migrant labor) Farmers suffered damages in which some sectors saw 1000's of family farms defeated. He did absolutely nothing to promote and inspire investment in modernizing the meat and poultry process plants which has seen many people infected and shut down that threaten the food supply chain.

We watched the world move forward building global interactive cooperative mutual benefit agreements, and we sat on the sideline pouting, which put us behind the curve when it comes to the global natural resources chain that is necessary for any and all countries.. and we abdicated by the acts of Trump who chose to promote civic discord and social divisiveness...

Volumes upon Volumes will be drafted not just in America, but Around The World Chronicling The Debacle and Menace that is Trump; who caused "The Disaster Through Which The Powerful Empire of America Was Greatly Damaged".

I vote Other:

Historically, the title was reserved for the incumbent president only, and was not to be used for former presidents, holding that it was not proper to use the title as a courtesy title when addressing a former president.[12][13][14][15][16] According to the official website of the United States of America, the correct way to address a letter is to use "The Honorable John Doe" and the correct salutation is "Mr Doe". [17] Despite that, some sources maintain that living former U.S. presidents continue to be addressed as "Mr. President", both formally and informally, and some contemporary experts on etiquette now maintain that it is entirely appropriate.[18]

I won't. But it is acceptable.

i'll still call him very presidential names, except after he's evicted, they will become very pretzeldential names. i think that's how it works.

I wonder if it is the norm to refer to previous Vice Presidents as Mr. Vice President? Or is Sleepy Joe considered acceptable? Trump does not care about honorifics for other people, so they must not be important?

After 12 yrs people don't say so much about President Bush..... as much as they did immediately following his debacle in Iraq.... For Trump is will be very different for a very long time, the death toll under Trump has far eclipsed the American deaths lost under Bush... although The World of Nations itself will not forget the millions of lives lost in Iraq due to the debacle of Bush and the lies that led to the destruction of Iraq and the destabilization of The Middle East.
quote
" four years after Trump took the oath of office, the only way to describe U.S. policy in the region is “strategic incoherence.” Every White House has trouble being consistent in its foreign policy. The problem with Trump’s approach to the Middle East is not actually inconsistency but rather the scattershot quality of his encounters with the region."
end quote

As for Trump... He will long be known from Criminality, Mobster Mentality Motivations and Actions and Trying to Install himself as Dictator Over America...
He will be long remembered for fleecing young people seeking an Education with the Fake Trump University Scam and Looting a Charity, and abusing every element of the Emoluments Clauses and Bastardizing The United States Justice Department as a Personal Hit Squad.
White Nationalist Racial Divisiveness, and Inhumanity both with regard to what was done to the Children of Immigrants and the Lie that led America to The current world greater pandemic disaster within a Developed Nation. What's more, is the exposure of the Right White Wing Evangelicals Hypocrisy which will continue to lead to a decline of youth to joining such hypocrisy promoting organization. The nations will not forget the assault upon respectful regard for the freedom of religion.

America has NEVER had a First Lady, who has soft porn lesbian imagery displayed to the world, and the indignity of wearing a jacket with a disgraceful slogan on it.
These things can't be erased.

Those who have been blinded by cult obsessions over Trump... will continue to have offspring's who will never forget what their parents supported through their obsessive blindness and lack of concern to be aware and knowledge of respecting American Democracy.

Now, with the mess he is making of the Transition, will only add to the negativity that is the foundation of function and malice of Trump Administration, who has caused chaos and damage to America's Transfer of Power. There are many Nations on High Alert, because of the Erratic mad man nature and mentality of Trump, and it will be hard for Nations to Trust America, as it did under the Obama Administration, after Obama mended the madness that Bush Made and the Economic Calamity that Bush Administration Caused. The Economic Mess That Trump has made will be discussed in Civics and History Classes, that will top the disdain that existed for a Former President after Nixon's Debacle. Trump also will be known for the Destructive Acts That Wrecked The Republican Party and Exposed Them as Full Devoted Seditious Partisans with a deep seated Racist Core.

It's customary to always call former presidents, "Mr. President." I think you mean will he leave office? I think he will.

No it's not. We only heard debate moderators called Joe Biden "Mr. Vice President" or "Vice President Biden" while talking to him. Reporters call the rattlesnake's predecessor "former President Barack Obama."

LOL He does not deserve to be called sir - or even Mister.

There is no reason for anyone to call him Sleepy Joe. That nickname is a blatant lie and comes straight from the devil.

People can call Donald Trump bad names because he deserves them. Joe Biden is no more a bad person than anyone who voted for him.

I think many referred to Biden as Mr. Vice President long after he left office.
